Post » Thu May 26, 2011 9:10 pm

i Thought dead money was pretty good i like the dark aspect of it and the story of it but the i have to say that it didnt seem that big and i was a little disappointed about no special weapons i would have loved to have seen a Special police pistol but i loved the gameplay and the quests but alot of times i was wondering how the hell do i do that? but all in all ill score dead money a good 7.5

I agree, this DLC was really good and I experienced no crashing or any related problems with it. Good story, very dark, slight annoyance with the collar but managable.

Overall I would rate it a good 7.5 out of ten. :fallout:

I hated the DLC untill i got to the casino. When you were in the villa it was just very repetative, and it heavily favored melee weapons. Also i spent a good hour trying to find out how to get to the second level of a building because the marker was pointing the wrong way.

I Thought it was actually very good i cant wait for a new dlc to carry on the main story only problem i had was at the end trying to open the blue energy door how was i supposed to know i have to go back to the same terminal twice but still very good it had a sense of dark and evil and reminded me of bioshock but overall very fun enjoying and level cap now 35 W00T !!

Il give 7.5 would be an 8 if the game would let me go back and salvage everything in the casino and villa :D

Honestly, the Police Gun isnt that new, its a detailed reskin of the .32 in Fallout 3, or it looks like it to me. :unsure2:

Could this be the DLC that would allow us to play after completing the main storyline? Nevermind the fact that that's another complete and total screwjob by the developer to take more money. But come on. This "DLC" is absolutely ridiculous. It is without a doubt the worst DLC released for a Fallout title. Let's be honest here, not including the holograms there are three enemy skins used the entire time. The scenery itself is particularly pathetic. Now let's add in the absolutely asinine collar explosive. Looking good so far. I thought that Mothership Zeta was bad. This DLC makes it look like the Mona Lisa. Congratulations guys, you've released a giant steaming pile of poo and happily took people's money. If you're going to rush [censored] don't bother putting it out. 2/10(and that 2 is just for raising the level cap.)

I would have given it a 5/10. Cool at first, but then boring and repetitive later. It almost did a good job of focusing on the survival aspect of the game, but then failed miserably when you can find an overabundance of Sierra Madre chips on the ground and in fountains. Not worth 10$, and barely worth even 5$.

6 or 7/10. The Atmosphere in the game was amazing, the music was creepy, the environment was dangerours and felt like a fight to survive (at first). I like the new weapons the BAR is amazing, holo rifle will be good for my energy character. Story was ok, dissapointing that you dont find out about the ghost people. I liked the moral of the story and like how much thought was put into the Madre, explaining why everything was they way it was.Now the main issue is the dlc dragged on, it was good at first, but felt dragged out escorting companions, collecting them then again in the madre. And the holograms, clouds and speakers were just annoying. Aswell as the place being like a maze. It was also pretty bad that it was a one time thing like OA.

I found the back-stories were pretty good, but the actual plot left a lot for me to desire. 6 or 7 out of 10 for me.

You do, actually.

You learn so much more even if you spend a certain time reflecting on it,

O really ? Expand on that then. What do we know of thier origins ? Motivation ? Why they abducted peopel ? Why they only die when limbs are removed ? Sorry but we didnt learn anything about them.
We read worker couldnt get out of suits, and that the cloud could seep through, this lets us speculate they are the workers. But it explains nothing, jsut gives matreial to speculate. So please expand on what we know about them.

I agree with you we don't know much. But we do have somethings to speculate on. The one room i found was like a sacraficial chamber. there was skeletons placed on tables all over. And the cloud controls the body but the brain is dead. After you destroy the head or a limb the body is useless so the cloud slowly leaves. But that's just my geuss

Most likely true. The development team for New Vegas likes ripping people off.

Explain that about "ripping people off"

Eh, remember thats only your opinion, I personally found the DLC a-ok. so 6/10, not so good but not so bad, at least its better than Operation Anchorage, and about playing the game after the main storyline, it was stated before that this isnt gonna happening, Then again, This DLC is personnaly worth of my time and money

IIRC, the devs have said that there will be no continuation after the MQ. Makes sense considering the myriad outcomes. So if your review has had points deducted because of an expectation which it was never designed to fulfill - well, bit unfair, right?

I love the collar and radios - I know I'm in a minority here, but that, along with the traps, makes the experience much more tense for me. Creeping along and then preparing myself for a dash between concealed transmitters or the cloud, hoping that the ghost people don't spot me in my vulnerable state... it's really good! The companions are fab (although I kind of regret taking Dog instead of God - will have to replay, I'm sure), Christine was a great surprise (won't spoil it for you if you don't know), and Dean is pretty funny. The main theme of "letting go" and greed is also brilliantly worked in throughout the Quest, from the remnants of others who have succumbed to it to your own situation.

The new weapons are fantastic (Bar, Holorifle and Bear trap fist come to mind) and the actual environment was pretty interesting. i also liked the obvious hints to future DLC (Ulysses, The Divide, The Big Empty...it all points to future DLC)

I uploaded my review of Dead Money to DLC to Youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IU3j0nSsWC4

In short... a game that fallout fans will want to check out for the story, characters and hints for the next DLC. However, the DLC has a variety of bugs/glitches that need to be resolved and DAMN those radios/speakers can be frustrating.

Talk about a misleading title. This is no review at all. No mention of characters, no mention of game play no explanation of anything. This is no review, just score.

I am looking for a proper review, anyone know of where to read one?
