I love Fallout and New Vegas. I've been hit with glitches nonstop on both and I still play the hell out of them. When I heard that new content would be out before Christmas I was absolutely thrilled. Could this be the DLC that would allow us to play after completing the main storyline? Nevermind the fact that that's another complete and total screwjob by the developer to take more money. But come on. This "DLC" is absolutely ridiculous. It is without a doubt the worst DLC released for a Fallout title. Let's be honest here, not including the holograms there are three enemy skins used the entire time. The scenery itself is particularly pathetic. Now let's add in the absolutely asinine collar explosive. Looking good so far. I thought that Mothership Zeta was bad. This DLC makes it look like the Mona Lisa. Congratulations guys, you've released a giant steaming pile of poo and happily took people's money. If you're going to rush [censored] don't bother putting it out. 2/10(and that 2 is just for raising the level cap.)
IIRC, the devs have said that there will be no continuation after the MQ. Makes sense considering the myriad outcomes. So if your review has had points deducted because of an expectation which it was never designed to fulfill - well, bit unfair, right?
I love the collar and radios - I know I'm in a minority here, but that, along with the traps, makes the experience much more tense for me. Creeping along and then preparing myself for a dash between concealed transmitters or the cloud, hoping that the ghost people don't spot me in my vulnerable state... it's really good! The companions are fab (although I kind of regret taking Dog instead of God - will have to replay, I'm sure), Christine was a great surprise (won't spoil it for you if you don't know), and Dean is pretty funny. The main theme of "letting go" and greed is also brilliantly worked in throughout the Quest, from the remnants of others who have succumbed to it to your own situation.
