An rpg to hold me over?

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 11:36 am

Hey everyone, i was just wondering if you all had any good rpg games you play. I've tried The Witcher 2, and i can't believe people say it's better than the TES games. (It's good, it's just a different kind of game)

I just need a game to hold me over 'til skyrim.

If you all know a good sandbox game feel free to post it.

I'm playing Oblivion and Fallout a lot right now but when Gears of War 3 comes out then I'll probably be playing that until Skyrim comes out. :)

I don't have any RPGs to suggest, but I've been playing Hitman: Blood Money for a few days and I'm loving it. It's half-sandbox. Or Assassin's Creed 2, which is story driven open world but not an RPG.

Mass Effect. Undoubtedly one of the best rpg series ever. Pick up the 2nd one as well after you finish the first. Cant wait until the 3rd one comes out, not until March though.

It's not sandbox, but Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines is one of my favourite games. It does have very large explorable areas.

Speaking of classics, did anyone suggest "Planescape:Torment" yet? It's not a sandbox RPG but it's a classic.

I'm currently replaying VTM:Bloodlines, as a Malkavian this time, and it's great (though it's lost some of its immersion for me after playing it several times). I'd second the suggestion by Princess Stomper to buy this one someday.
