Serious Request for 360 players

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 8:54 am

I won't even consider buying dawnguard until spoilers get posted here. I don't want to waste time and money on a vampire dlc, only to discover that that's really all there is to it.

If you don't want to get spoiled I suggest you avoid these forums after the 360 release. There will be spoilers, we can't control it.

No spoilers from me -- I hate it when someone inadvertently spoils something for me.

I'm sorry to be the one that says this, but people are going to post spoilers. They always do, and they'll probably go as far as to put them in the thread titles. You've been here a while, you must remember what it was like when Skyrim, or any of the other new Bethesda games have been released?

If i were you, i'd just take a few weeks off the forums untill the hype has died down. The mods will try and stop it, but sometimes they just lock the threads rather than deleting them so it doesnt actually help atall.

This.

The trolls will put the spoilers in the thread titles - best staying away altogether.

I believe that another thread thing will open up regarding Skyrim's DLC's anyways. So instead of people posting in the General Discussion, we'll have a DLC discussion. The mods will probably be on high alert during the release, so I'm pretty sure you'll be alright.

But, in regards to any Numpty that actually DOES post a Major Spoiler in the General Discussion, I am Sincerely Sorry.

I've perused the forums for several years back to Morrowind days. I can't help thinking that the posting of spoilers in the general discussion forum has got worse in the last year. It could just be me getting old. It could also be that people do things like watch the game on youtube before playing, so big plot twists have less of an impact as they might once have had.

Still, can't help noticing how many people will ignore the next forum down and go ahead posting help for quests, spoilers, etc. etc.

This is true. It seems people just want to be seen as soon as possible, get their question answered and move on. I've seen quite a few spoiler threads where, when asked why they didnt post in the spoiler forums, the OPs have replied "people don't look in there" or something along those lines.
It's just selfish.

Two days after the DLC comes out: "I can't believe Harkon was actually the good guy trying to stop the Dawnguard!" or "Thoughts on how the Dawnguard turned out to be werewolves?"

You missed out the "Am I the only one who...?" which will undoubtedly begin all of these thread titles.

After the release of skyrim I took a month and a half off the forums just so I wouldn't be spoiled. For dawngaurd it will probably only need to be about 2 weeks. There should be a seperate threads for dawngaurd outsude general discussion until 2 weeks after the ps3 and pc launch

I will keep all dawnguard talk to the spoilers forum. Are you talking questline spoilers or feature spoilers, like the whole werebear theory?

If i were a PC user, I would
a.) get an xbox
b.) watch it on youtube in a gameplay video, I for my part wouldnt consider watching it through a spoiler.

My advise is to stay away from the forums for a while. You know well enough that someone is going to be posting spoilers like crazy, and I don't mean stuff like "Tips on defeating Harkon/dawnguard" you'll be seeing "Omg guyz so-and-so dies!", Don't expect others to keep all of the info to themselves, It's a matter of self control on your part.

No worries here, mate. I'm moving back to Ireland with my wife and will be without my Xbox for 2 months. I don't even know if I'll be able to use my American Xbox there. Will I be able to download the DLC from Xbox Live in Ireland?

Oh yeah! How could I forgot about those? "Am I the only one who thought it was weird the Dawnguard worked with Harkon?"
