While I think lights should probably be able to use the Mossington, allowing mediums to take an AR AND a shotgun might be a bit much.

Eh, the mossington would be too powerful in the hands of a light, too much burst damage.

My vote would be to add a full auto shotgun for lights that does low damage per shot, but still has higher burst than an smg. The Hjammerdeim needs a bit of a damage buff as well, or it needs to be made full auto.

Would also love to be able to use the hjammerdeim as a medium...

Hjammerdeim needs a damage buff, and mediums need a choice of a weak full auto shotgun, and a pump action with a bigger clip and shorter range.

Lights need to stay away from shotguns, period.

@OP: I wouldn't mind seeing more Shotguns, BUT, having Light(s) with a Shotgun? Are you morally insane? And, why does everyone complain about the Hammerdeim (or however it's spelled)?

People say it's "worse" then the Mossington? HOW? It's got SUCH A HUGE DMG INCREASE > IT? And people say it's "too weak"? Wow... some people here really don't know how to use a Shotgun? (Which, might I add REALLY isn't that hard?)

I've only used the Hammer a couple times, but that thing (especially with IWB (Improved Weapon Buff), is something to fear for. But you basically want it's DMG to be completely maxed out then? So that it becomes the new CARB-9? I don't get it one bit sir...

I hear you guys. I NOW feel that they should actually up the damage of the mossington a little (or the range), make the hjammerdiem a medium weapon (maybe increase range and lower damage because it's good in shotgun range when u hit your target), and then add a fully auto shotgun for the heavy archetype.

SD perfectly balanced this game, so im pleading when I say this, please do not force SD to follow the trend a give people OP weapons

I disagree on this point. The hjammerdeim can kill unbuffed mediums in 2 shots, but takes 3-4 shots against unbuffed heavies. The delay between the first two shots and any subsequent shots puts the hjammerdeim at a significant disadvantage to SMGs, assault rifles, and machineguns when it isnt able to take the target out with the first two rounds. Any heavy with a chinzor or even a maximus should be able to wreck a medium before he even got close to dying.

I think more than that, lights (and all body types, for that matter) should be able to equip sidearms as primary weapons.

Again....no shotguns for lights.
The weapon is already close to being overpowered on certain important objective points.
They are fine as is, no need to buff. If you want a shotgun as a light, take the Dragunov.

I would love to have Shotguns for light types added later on that weren't broken.

As many here have already stated however that would be either impossible or pointless. Face it, the shotguns claim to fame is that it can fire once and cuase a lot of damae. Giving a LW body type an instant effective weapon would demolish the balance brink already has. (Which is really good) Even if lights got a shotgun and it was effective it would have to have bigger restrictions than they currently do in order to be balanced and in that case do you really want a LW useless shotgun because it only has like one round mags or something?

Besides if your playing light, grab yoru pistol and knife... that thing does absolutely [censored] damage.

True that - double true!


I think the shotguns are great where they are. I rarely encounter them in-game.
If anything, I feel like all the guns are pretty balanced and do their job.

And for lights, what about dual wielding pistols? Too much as well?

Sure, I'll go along with this suggestion. The game could use a bigger variety of shotguns. We have too many SMG's and Assault Rifle's, but only 1 kind of shotgun.

Yes, this is a good idea, and the sawed off would only have 2 shots before reloading so the light can spam the trigger at close range. But I would like to see a fully auto one cuz it is the future you know. It would have been nice to see a Brinked up AA-12 bcuz it's a nice looking weapon.
