Should Skyrim be made as a movie?

No... With the way the movie industry is right now, they would cut even more corners then they did when making the game... I picture it now... It would be like the DBZ movie... A scrawny jew as the lead character......

I would say no to making a movie about this game reasons are:

Streetfighter the Movie
Mortal Kombat the Movie
Bloodrayne the movie
Tekken the Movie
DoA the Movie
Dungeons and Dragons

And the list goes on.

All of them butchered the original story line, and were kind of horrible to watch (especially those directed by Uwe Boll)

indeed

I mean how hard is it NOT to change the game story in the frigging movie

oh u left out doom, which would have been 10000 better if they stuck to the doom 3 story

and resident evil (although some parts were fun to watch I admit, especially part 4 were they did the story in a more resident evil-ly way)

So, I had this crazy idea.
I got it from the Live Action trailer of Skyrim, because it looked awesome. So I decided to ask it from you people; should Skyrim be made as a movie?

I think the plot in Skyrim was marvelous. It could be a great movie if it was made by a good director.

Doesn't every game ever get people asking for a movie to be made out of it :/ ?
And when/if they do get made, they're almost destined to be terribad and risk of cancer by sheer proximity to the awfulness.

It's actually a no-brainer. The only Dragonborns ever known were all Nords or descendent from Nords. In fact, it is only in Nord culture that Dragonborn are honored and revered. Thus it is safe to say that only a Nord could lore wise be Dragonborn. And since Nords are typically dumb muscle bound brutes, who's idea of an afterlife is being permanently drunk and singing battle songs, it is save to say the Dragonborn would be a Warrior like those before him.

Buuuut...they could of course give him a few different companions in his journey who could play the other classes. Sort of like a D&D party thing. Oh wait, they already made a D&D movie. Well this one could be better I guess.

ROFL in the nicest possible way :)

Yes it is a no brainer! I was kinda getting at the idea that no matter how well [they] make a movie, [they] will upset some fan or other - no matter how much of a no brainer it is. :)

It would make a really good anime. Heck, the game should be made to have an anime style, I get tired of western rpgs. Make it happen, Todd.
