You're probably right. But while I'm here, I just read the first 12 or so posts on your thread "I feel really stupid posting things like this..", and I'd just thought I'd let you know I'm here to give advice on my past experiences with depression if you want me to. I know how it feels.

Lonesome Road is coming up for New Vegas.

If it won't burn you out, I think it would be great fun to build a character in oblivion and then rebuild them for skyrim.

But I'd probably go for New Vegas and the DLCs.

Seems like Oblivion would be a natural progression to Skyrim, but for that matter Morrowind would fit the bill as well. TBH, I'm playing one last Fallout 3 character and enjoying it quite a lot. If I have time I might do a New Vegas character (never liked it as much as FO3). New Vegas is a pretty short game as well (compared to Oblivion and FO3). I've played Oblivion to death - at least 1,000 hours or more - so no desire to do it again.

If you do the Main quest, but if you do all the sidequest and the 3 DLC, its fairly long

This is my opinion, please don't yell at me for it. I bought the GOTY Edition of Oblivion off of Steam, started playing it and simply could not get into it. I loved hearing Patrick Stewart's voice at the beginning, but after playing Fallout 3 and Fallout NV I was kind of disappointed. The story didn't draw me in like some other games and I really hate it that the graphics bothered me, but they did. If anything I would suggest people play Oblivion before they play either of the newer Fallout's, because they have ruined it for me.

Yeah, I'm definitely not going to yell at you. The announcement of Skyrim had the same effect on me.

Well if you want something bethesda made, Oblivion or Fallout 3.

I did read. What you are asking is, after you have played both games a lot but never finished either, you want to know which you should finish. Seing how new vegas and skyrim have nothing common, I'd say play oblivion through.

but seriously though, three months is enough to beat Oblivion, fallout 3 and fallout new vegas.

Whilst the core gameplay is much alike, the different setting could make Skyrim feel a bit fresher than by playing Oblivion right before.

No mods for you then . It's a difficult one then.

You don't really need to complete a run-through of Oblivion to have a blast with it and get warmed up for Skyrim. You can start it, do some quests, increase some skills and just run around in the world. I just tried some new techniques along the lines of a semi-Pacifist character to see how it would go. I've gotten through a few quests with zero kills...the Azani Blackheart with Modryn Oreyn and one of The Collector Ayleid ruin dungeon crawl ones. It was fun and I learned some new things.

You can get through a FNV in 150 hours or less depending on how much you want to do...way less if you don't do everything. Then you can do more next time.

I just went back to a FO3 run I had going and it's fun. I keep a few games going so I can jump to one if I feel like it. I said Oblivion for you by the way.
