Are they just called "Bandit", or are you fighting a swarm of bandit cheifes or something? Because you should be able to tear through normal bandits like a hot knife through FLESH

I do, I tear through anything like they were nothing. I've dealt with Bandit Mauraders, all the varients, and I can literally do a power move and they die. The big jump from "oh, this game is easy, I'm killing everything" to "OH JESUS, IT'S LIKE I'M AN ANTHRITIC WEEVIL IN A BOXING MATCH WITH GOD" is what threw me.

I now think the campanion questline, if done too late, has a level-scaling bug which makes them unreasonably strong. Most people (inluding myself when I first played) probably do the companion quests early, if at all.

And they're a mixture of a chief, mauraders, and whatever the others are. There aren't any regular "bandits" as in "the 1-hit-even-at-low-level" variety though. They're all supermen.

I'd like to meet these so called bandits. Over the last few days, it's been the same story from a number of people.
"There are these here bandits that keep killing me?! ANDSNKAF??!"
I've yet to run into anything like this! In some sense. I feel like I am missing out.
On the other hand. I am thankful.

It has nothing to do with difficultly level, it has to do with these specific scaled enemies, which not even your level 50 character would be able to kill, since they go through plate armor and almost 300 hit points in one swing.
Can you be more detailed and tell us what specific name these enemies have, what location(s) you encountered them at, the difficulty setting you're using, and provide details on your character build/weapons? You might find a more sympathetic audience if they have a chance to go see what you are talking about in your specific context.

I'm going to give them the benifit of the doubt and either A. avoid the companion questline or B. start over and do the companion questline early.

Also, just for the record, it's not as if I suddenly ran into these guys today. It's been about a week ,on and off, where I have struggled to kill them and only gave up today in dispair.

It has everything to do with not not being ready. Lightning taking away 80% of your health? Buy or enchant some shock resist dude... Seriously. You expect to have a run-in with an arch electromancer and just shrug off his thunderbolts like they're a 9-volt on your tongue?

As for your bandit issue... Maybe your armor rating isnt as good as you think. Legendary smithing baby. Grab the notched pickaxe, a blacksmiths elixir, and smith away. Or use alchemy and make a better potion.

OR... If you say nerfing the difficulty isnt fixing your problem, try the restoration potion exploit. Other than that... Idk dude.. Maybe... And just maybe... You... Just... svck.

Forgive me if that offends you.

So from your posts, you are a tank (i.e. heavy armor), you have no trouble fighting dragons, you have 600 health, and when you try to fight a bandit you get killed in two hits, no matter how many potions you drink. Sorry but  w/e dude

I don't think it's a glitch. I also don't think you've played enough to expect your character to be marching around killing everything. Get your character into the 60th level range and see how things go.
You also have to be more tactical. Just because you've got advanced heavy armor and a big shield doesn't mean you can just walk up to every enemy and whack, whack, whack with your sword a couple of times.
You'll run across toughened enemies in all the major questline, all of which will take you out of your comfort zone. You will have to adapt and figure out ways to kill them without getting one-shotted. First off, if they can't get close to you, they can't one-shot you. Take it from there.

Because there will be more of that. It looks like you haven't even scratched the surface of the game. You will run into more tough enemies.

Personally, I think that's one of the game's strengths, but I like a challenge. Looks like you don't- you like to feel powerful. Adjust the difficulty, because if you don't like the bandits, you're going to hate exaulted necromancers...

He makes a valid point, why is some bandit in a cave 50 times harder then a dragon? If this is how it is they could have rewritten the story about saving the world from uber bandits.

You could try reading before commenting.

thanks for the try though.

Edit: oh and before I get crapped on for being sarcastic, I was seriously thanking you for the effort.

Why do I hate Skyrim? Because it's too easy. I also hate it because it's too hard.

To this date, no enemy that I have fought, much less a bandit, has ever required 100 hits to kill. I call male bovine excrement.

So you went 50/50 health/stamina and you're surprised you don't have as many hitpoints as you might? With reduced stam cost perks on your power attacks, presumably, Stamina's really not that big a deal. You sure those bandits don't have some buddies drilling you with arrows as well?

I understand. A bully bandit gave you a bloody nose and now you're upset.

You probably just need a bigger sword.

Honestly can not tell if this is a troll thread or not. The post doesn't make a lick of sense. The OP can kill off dragons with ease, but a few goofy bandits wipe him/her out in a couple of hits....... The entire post seems a bit confusing to me and I have never had a problem with bandits even at low levels.
One of my Dead is dead playthroughs I ran into a bandit chief who decapitated me at level 34. They are out there, you just haven't run across them yet.
