I think we should be able to marry someone else after we have married one person. But also have the ability to re-marry your ex-spouse, in case you should want to continue to have them as a spouse. Maybe every re-marriage could cost 500-1000 gold (depending on your level) so you have a little something more to spend gold on. Ideas, help, and support are always welcome! :D

Well, in that case you could have taken the "Let me be as rude as possible" chat log option XD or you could have been more... gentle? about it and she could have understood. But lets say you did marry Alea, what if you wanted to marry Lydia or Ysolda? They way it is now you need to either load back to whenever you married or start another character and in my case one of my characters is at level 23 and I married around level 5... And @Pepe actually I didn't know... :( sorry if this is considered spam

Anyone else think this should be an added option in an update? I would just like the choice of being able to... I personally married Ysolda but I would like to marry another person instead, I have had quite a few of my friends on Xbox tell me they would like the chance to re-marry too.

Pay for marriage? I don't think you understand. A marriage is a bond that is to last for a lifetime in Skyrim. You cannot break that bond just because you start to lack the liking for someone! You should have thought about it before you just decided to pick someone randomly and married them. Shame on you! :slap:

@ExaltedPariah I tried to do that, that is what my friend had told me and it either doesn't work anymore or I did something so obviously wrong I don't even know what to say.

@Legion64 I didn't marry randomly though. I saw Ysolda and thought she would be a good wife, but at the time I had not known I could actually marry but now I think I would rather marry Lydia or someone else I had went exploring with and actually spent time with, instead of giving someone a mammoth's tusk..

A mammoth's tusk is a sign of love and compassion in the Nord traditions! You have brought a great honor to your companionship! But it is part of the Nord tradition, the only way to divorce an old lover is with the edge of your axe connecting to her neck! But you will forever be alone afterwards.

So I have to kill my wife with an axe. And then be forever alone?..

Yeah, because you can't remarry. Well if you kill her. But killing her is the only way to divorce her. Well it's not divorce, it's murder. But I believe you cannot remarry.

I don't know. I've looked it up plenty. Some say you can, some say you can't. Mind as well try, if you have the graqefruit to kill your beloved Ysolda.

Best solution is to just not get married in the first place.

I prefer being wed to Ysolda or Camilla because while you're out slaying dragons or biting necks or what have you they're brining in a little income. After a few ingame weeks traversing the frozen lands that little bit starts to add up. Besides, my Lydia died long before they patched in the option to marry her anyway. R.I.P.

And Legion64, every one of your posts in this thread have been pure win.

Yes but if you were to marry Lydia or another follower that you can wed, you have the option of dropping them as a follower or keeping them as one.

And don't forget the beautiful option of having a Dragon attack you and have the Dragon pick her up with its mouth and fling her around like a rag doll! I love that one.
