Skyrim Game of the Year - They having a laugh? What you thin

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 6:34 am

Content isn't everything. Quality is better than quantity. Personally, I consider Witcher 2 my GOTY, and I think it deserved it more than Skyrim did, largely for that reason. Skyrim has a lot of quests, but it doesn't have many memorable ones really. I love the exploration, the free-roam, but on story and dialogue it falls flat for me, and Witcher 2 beats it in graphics too, although both games are so graphically brilliant that it doesn't matter to me. Skyrim is a great achievement, even with all its flaws, and I'm certainly not angry that it got GOTY. But I think Witcher 2 may have been a bit more deserving.

It does deserve GOTY, but there are bugs and balance issues they need to fix.

Yay for injecting something into a quote which was not said. It is obvious what he meant, so why not take it at value and argue it properly instead of inventing statements and debating them?

Ok so if he wasnt refering to the amount of content then what exactly was he refering to?

I dislike your kind.

Right back at ya.

Witcher 2 is a bit too short, and the ending was really really flat and anti-climatic. The journey was great, but the destination was below average.

So is that how we measure the worth of a game now days? The amount of content rather than the quality of the content?

The amount of content beats out every other game released this year. And I do believe the quality is very high aswell. But that's mostly opinion.

Yeah. It surely deserves to be release as a GOTY version especially when Skyrim won the best of the year reward recently.

I hope that Bethesda can fix the bugs, quests among other things that needs to be fixed and release Skyrim GOTY later next year. If a GOTY version took them a year to finish I would still buy Skyrim GOTY. :tes:

Skyrim was quite enjoyable

It's not like GOTY really means much anyway there's heaps of games that win GOTY awards. but as long as it was your GOTY that's all that matters

Well yeah I think it earned it, I'm perfectly happy with the game and I'm playing it on Xbox, I havent had any major bugs that would really matter, I've installed it on hardrive and no texture bug. And the game itself is awesome

Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Batman: Arkham City, either would have been my pick. Both full of content, both have interesting stories, and both make Bethesda look like total [censored] in the quality control department. But then, the only game with worse quality control than any Bethesda game would have probably been Daikatana.

Honestly does anyone actually think this game deserves Game of the year?

I like Skyrim a lot but in no way does it deserve Game of the year.

I know this is a Skyrim forum and most people will support it but what do people think?

Debate.......GO

It's my game of the decade. Yes it deserves it.

Yes... there is no other game in 2011 that can beat Skyrim. And now don't come with Portal 2, that has about 5 hours of gameplay at most and that's about it.

Look buddy, there have literally been 50 topics on this, its been discussed to hell.

Also, It isn't officially GOTY, MANY, MANY games will earn a GOTY.

Yes, I believe it deserves GOTY, why? I highly doubt any game this year can give you near as much gameplay time as Skyrim.

Yes it's GOTY, only real winner this year if your not including Arkham City as it's only competition and even then Skyrim is still better.
