Skyrim spits in the face for Ps3 users.

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 7:33 pm

Not only is Skyrim preforming the worse on the the PS3 then any other system we get the DLC a month later as well. Bethesda should give us the DLC first for all the [censored] broken we have with the game :(
Why is Bethesda but buddies with Xbox, how much did xbox pay to have every advantage?

Yours isn't the only one broken. Adding DLC to a broken game won't fix anything by the way. You should count yourself lucky, consoles get patches earlier than PC.

Why would you want a DLC first that most likely going to be overridden with bugs?

Yeah, right. It's been outlined before, when Bethesda makes a patch for PC, it's just released. When they make a patch for 360/PS3, it has to go to the QA teams, they run through it and make sure it doesn't cause major issues, then it's released. Unless somehow the patch having to go through more departments somehow makes it "faster".

Am I seriously one of the few PS3 users who hasn't had any real issues with Skyrim?

Patch 1.2 seems to have eliminated most of my frame rate issues, the occasional stutter happens on my character saves created before the patch but it's no where near as bad as it was before, and those I created after seem to run even more smoothly. It's not perfect, but it's better than it was.

Try cleaning up your hard-drives perhaps? Mine has quite a fair bit of space free, but I was having trouble with numerous other games when it was almost full.

Hey, look on the bright side. Maybe the Xbox 360 users can beta test the DLC for us, and by the time we get it, it'll be all patched up (and ready to go, I hope)!

I've got the classic fat PS3 and 11 + megs on a single save. I only get a slight lag when I enter some areas with a ton of stuff going on. I wait a second and its all cleared up.

It's not just released. It has to go through Valve first which in itself has its own team and system.

The only patch that is coming to PC first that we've heard of is 1.3 but that's not even released yet and could change. The others were given to consoles first.

I love it when people post this. They used to post the same thing during the DC UNiverse Online RAM issues. "Try restoring your PS3 system data"... "is your HDD full"

RAM limits and memory bugs have nothing to do with hard drives.

I've had no serious problems on my PS3 - just a few minor glitches...

Same here. I don't know why people bother to reply to these threads really. The guy joined up today and immediately starts posting about how bad the ps3 version svcks? . why?

Get over yourself. The DLC has nothing to do with 'spitting in your face' as a PS3 user. Holy, way to sensationalize everything. It merely has to do with a contract with Microsoft. Xbox users makes up the majority of users playing the game, and Microsoft wanted to ensure it stays that way. This is what businesses do - including Bethesda. They are not a charity, they do things in the best interest of their company.

Some of the people on these forums are just down-right ridiculous.

Doubt it, but those who do have issues are just more likely to be around here while those that don't have issues will either be playing the game or had no major gripes with it to come here to complain about. After most major issues are sorted this forums will calm down and by this time next year people will be remembering Skyrim as a winner... then Bethesda will announce fallout 4 or something else and it'll be the same thing again.

Usually it hits the PC more then the consoles but this time, it's clear that there are issues that should have been found in testing for the PS3 too, I suspect it's because Bethesda sees the X-Box as it's major target console since their games sell better in NA and EU where the X-Box is the essentially the predominate gaming console.
