I still don't see how people could have liked morrowind at all. I'm an agnostic RPGer myself and oh god was morrowind horrible.

It doesn't matter whether you do or don't, they're just the facts. You obviously have not played Morrowind. Lol @ you thinking the game lasts 15 mins.

Sigh, did I say the game last 15 mins? No, I said it could be beaten in 15 mins. You should learn to read. And no, those are not facts, more like opinions.

Please let not start this topic. Different Peoples = Different Opinions.

Let's gently ask a moderator to close it for you, please.

My first instinct was to disagree, but I think you're right. There's no point in comparing overall impression of the games, although it is very telling that Oblivion so rarely comes up as a favorite or model to emulate.

Compared to other TES games.

Skyrim
=====
Looks better
Clunky due to pausing
Perks points a poor and terrible design
Cities are camps in comparison to older games
Dragons are new but creatures are cut back more then half
Spells are cut back more then half
Crafting is cut back more then half, able to make staffs, spells before
Scenery isn't as diverse

He never implied the game only lasts 15 minutes, just that it can be done in 15. You obviously are here ITT only to upset people and argue mindlessly (troll). Reported.

No, those weren't facts.

They were your opinions, and can be disagreed with. He disagreed with them, which is his opinion.

No, Skyrim is not the best TES. If it were, I'd have absolutely no interest in TES. I think that's Morrowind/Bloodmoon.

Skyrim has worse gameplay than Morrowind, worse magic system, worse character building, worse quests, worse UI... you know, all the things that are important to an RPG. Skyrim is casual and dumbed down to the point of not being much fun.
Oh give me a break. Honestly, thats just creepy and weird.

If thats what you think, you don't know how to play it.

It's irrelevant how quickly you can exploit your way through a game. Use a noclip and go straight to the end, that doesn't define the game. If you're bringing it up at all it's because you think it counts for something, and unless that short time describes the actual game it counts for nothing. Learn to make valid points. And those are facts. If you think Skyrim's quests or its magic system is better than Morrowind's then you're a casual gamer who likes their experiences as simple and thin as possible. It's fact that those things are better in Morrowind, as is the UI (talking PC here).

Oh give me a break. Honestly, thats just creepy and weird.
And the award for using words out of context without understanding their meaning of goes to you.

Well with Morrowind I had much much more fun as with Skyrim.

Morrowind first play: Oh my god im on a ship... i can walk... AND LOOK AT THIS WATER!!! OMG. I just want to watch the water, nothing else, I dont care about the rest of Morrowind. Ok now im fine, lets start my character... oh god there are so many of them... and they look ugly like me in rl thats awesome...hej i can do magic! and i use a weapon... look the guards are coming...now im dead...lets try this again, thats awesome!
Skyrim first play: How did they catch me? And why are the graphics so 2000 and not 2010?... or is something wrong with my settings? And why is this b itch of captain b itching around, I wont let kill myself because she got 2 boobs... oh there is a dragon that awesome...oh and now my game crashed...

Well Skyrim is nice. Morrowind was much nicer because everything was so "new" for me. And now everything is so... "yeah yeah I know shut up or I will FUS RO DAH"

I could agree with some of your points, but...
Scenery isn't as diverse?

Coming from what? The Grassland called Oblivion or The Rock called Morrowind? Even if Skyrim is simply "The Snow" the older games aren't that diverse to say that Skyrim isn't as diverse.

So, because somebody disagrees with you, we're casual gamers that are completely wrong, and are opinions are wrong. While all of your opinions, and they ARE opinions, are absolute facts.

I'm not going to bother arguing, because people like you are one of the reasons I left WoW and Rift.

Ok, so I've been on these forums for a while now, and it seems to me lots of people are complaining. Why? I've been playing Skyrim on the Ps3 for quite some time now, and even with its lag and bugs, the game is as good as ever. Don't base a game on its technical problems, those can be fixed. Base a game on its entertainment and the fun of playing it. Skyrim is the best TES ever, Morrowind and Oblivion are crap compared to it. I guess my real point of this post is to ask why people think Morrowind and Oblivion are better? Skyrim is improved in graphics, gameplay, length, entertainment, AI, character customization, weapon varity, voice acting and much more. So, why are poeple saying OB and MW are better?

because in some peoples opinions they are better than skyrim. i personally think skyrim is the worst tes game released.

Uh oh! Don't say Skyrim is good or else all the Morrowind hipsters will flame you! :P
But srsly, I really can't pick favorites haha! It's like asking me who I like more, my right nipble or my left nipble.

Uuuh... flame war coming up.

Duh, I don't like comparing Morrowind to Skyrim. That's just dumb. See, of course Skyrim has better graphics and probably better animations and gameplay, and that's why it's not to be compared to a game being almost 10 years old. Besides, Morrowind is still a very awesome game and had a fantasy atmosphere like no other game.

It's a different thing with Oblivion. Oblivion is, texture-wise, not that far away from Skyrim. Gameplay and other stuff is also pretty similar (leading to many people thinking it were still the same engine). Here I definitely say Skyrim beats Oblivion in every point that can be looked at from a gamer's view. Especially quests and overall feeling of the gameworld have been so much improved.
I can say Skyrim is a lot better than Oblivion, though you can't really compare it to Morrowind (not meaning it's worse), and it's totally useless to compare to even older ES games like Daggerfall.
