I have to agree with this one. Logic will not allow me to disagree. No one is going to join the Bard's college unless they plan on singing, playing instruments, and writing poetry. That's why my fighter didn't join the Bard's college and neither will my mage (because he's evil and despises beauty).
Edit: I have also said before on other threads that I would love it if playing an instrument was an option (though singing wouldn't make sense because your PC doesn't audibly speak... writing poetry, journals, or stories could be a means of income as well). Alas...
