The best place to advertise SSD is bethesda PS3 forum. iD's Rage doesn't work - buy SSD, Skyrim doesn't work - buy SSD.
This is not a PC. We pay extra for console version of game and we can expect it to work without rebuilding equipment.

Just installed an new OCZ Vertex 3.
Lets hope its fixes the lag, currently installing skyrim.

My savegame is about 8MB and I'm 30 hours into the game, and was starting to have lag problems.

lol u wasted money just delete update date if have it mine runs fine 10 gig same 50hrs fine never lags thats on old 180gb fatboy 2-3yrs old

Mine is a brand new ps3 slim with only the install files of skyrim.
Stil had some lag and slow loading times between areas and entering dungeons.

Right now skyrim is running very smooth without lag and the load screens are around 50% faster.

Money isn't the problem, its just a 60gig ssd from 95 euro's, but making enough time to play is.
