some vigilant of stendarr quests would be good

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 6:00 am

the daedric lords are way to cocky and the way they speak to me after i do some [censored] for them wants me to wish there were quests that involved killing/destroying daedra. the house of horror quest seemed alright, but then you end up helping the daedra???

also i visited the vigilant house near dagons shrine and talked to their leader, all she can do is train me. at least she should have some unique speech options or give you misc tasks

I traveled all the way over there thinking there would be quest, maybe a whole questline, and see that they have a named NPC as their leader. Yet they all have literally nothing to say except about who they are.

I want it so I can hunt daedra instead of always helping them. Like an all-good questline.

Yeah. They need some training. Because I just saw 2 of them get owned by one vampire.

the only daedra lords i liked was the one who gave you dawnbreaker, the madman in the dream and the one you drink with. the others were more arrogant then alduin

Like an all-good questline.

The idea of we Vigilants being good is highly subjective.

I've dragged many that I've considered to be unholy abominations in to the light. I forced them to meet Stendarr's mercy. Does that justify the fact that I'm seeking out the betterment of Man... Yes. But at what costs?

OT: A questline would be nice, especially if it fell in a moral gray-zone where a player is lead to question if the militancy of the Order is justified.

Cocky? They're immensly powerful, immortal, god-like beings. And destroying one of them would be akin to destroying one of the Divines. I know in a few threads some people have voiced a dislike for the Vigilants. Plus they talk on and on about the Daedra, despite the fact that the Temple of Stendarr is allegedly allied with Boethiah

Man was I disappointed with that. I thought typical effing Bethesda.

Im actually disappointed about the lack of Daedra in the game - it's part of the flavour of the game. It's disappointing not to have a full on war going on between the Daedra and the Vigilants.

Gotta be a DLC, I'm thinking. Otherwise it's all just a massive tease.

I'm more in line with the idea that it was cutting corners.

Yeah, it is sad there are no questline associated with them, they could be a great faction. I hope they are included in DLC.

I completely agree! but you have to get something from it unlike the bard college... that was a wreck. have like, radiant quests to deal with vampires, daedra sightings and other such things. it would be pretty cool. again as long as you get something out of it, and don't become the leader of the vigilant... i'm sick of being the leader of every thing,

No doubt. Maybe one or two ranks would be nice... Going from Vigilant to Inquisitor and your fellow Vigilants noticing the transition. "Hello, brother" goes to "What may you have me do, Inquisitor?" I don't want to be a Keeper, though.

EDIT: Inquisitor in the sense that you can recruit a fellow Vigilant as a follower and lead them in to an inquisition. I imagine the rank Vigilant as a standard pallbearer.

What could make for an interesting story is the potential conflict between the vigilants and Meridia and their different interpretation of "the light". Meridia hates necromancers and the undead, the vigilants hate deadra. I see a potiential storyline in which the vigilants team up with necromancers to fight Meridia. I would name it Dawnguard.

So much this. If the Daedra could actually physically manifest it would mean the end of the world (see Oblivion for details ^^).

Im actually disappointed about the lack of Daedra in the game - it's part of the flavour of the game. It's disappointing not to have a full on war going on between the Daedra and the Vigilants.

Well since the doors to Oblivion were shut in Oblivion there can't really be any daedra other than the lords.

//edit

Also [censored] the Vigilants! Lady Azura demands obedience!

Actually, Daedric lords are more powerful than the divines. Divines can be killed. Daedra can't.

I think they cut the Vigilant Questline, because they ran out of time. There are free roaming Vigilants, they have a Mainquarter and there is Stendarrs Beacon in the Rift but no single Quest? That's more than odd...

You could be right, and with that could increase the chance that we will get a DLC or maybe even a patch update for a vigilant questline, here's hoping.

I completely agree, what I would'nt mind seeing is quests to tag along with another member of the vigilant to take out Daedra.

didnt mehrunes dagon get defeated by a divine? also alduin is a divine and when you wear deadric armour fighting him he`ll say even the daedra fear him.
