That would be incredible! To have massive online multiplayer, or to just to have a buddy hop in on quests. If that's what you mean't by, "The Elderscrolls Online.". Although, I pointed out that this is still a single player experience, and many don't need to be Online. That's what struck me when I first played it! That this is a game so well made, that it didn't need to be online. That's after all, the whole point when they initially started to develop Skyrim. To make a massive game, but immersive and completely solo. It's what sets this RPG apart from any others, because of this unique single player only aspect. Most single player games could not even come close to surviving, in todays must have multiplayer craze. Yet, Bethesda thought differently, by keeping it strictly a single player, and pulled it off becoming one of the most successful and most played game to date. Just Amazing! I then think to myself... If Bethesda made such a success with Skyrim, then why even add multiplayer? They achieved what they wanted, and so much more! Why would they really want change, what's not broke? Maybe adding multiplayer might not be the best strategy, and keep their uniquely single player style concept. This then jumps back into my point, as to why not have an optional expansion to Skyrim on CD, like they did with the ShiveringIsles? It just makes so much sense to me, that this game was developed as a solo play, and should have the option to be on CD for thoughs who are not online. Im talking about the many out there, who don't want to be forced to Pay for Onlne service, just to download new content. That's my whole point, and think if Skyrim will be on disk, or then again, should be on disk.
Do I make any sense, since this is a single player game? I think I just answered my question, as to why ShiveringIsles was on disk. For those who do not want, or need to be online. So, I think it would only be fair, to do the same with Skyrims expansion packs. Putting them on disk for all to enjoy, not just for the people online, when this is again, a single player experience.
What do you guys think?
