What? You afraid a TES fan would hype things out of proportion?

He specifically said Skyrim. Why would it be an Elder Scrolls MMO announcement?

I definitely think we are going to see a Huge Update, to be announced at the PAX Convention! That's only 3 days from now! That would be the perfect time to show off a DLC/Update, being the first to play it there... I am not the PC gaming type, but PAX is all about PC & Consoles alike, and without a doubt will have this new DLC for both parties. Not just Xbox 360. They just couldn't do that to PC fans out there... Could they?

Do you think this Update/DLC will be announced at the PAX Convention?

i just checked the pax east schedule didn't show anything specific. VP of marketing and PR for Bethesda softworks will be there, but beyond that i didn't see aything related to skyrim.

I wish they'd just announce All DLC's for hype, and just so we know what they are, and when to expect it. Suspense is killing me, or maybe that's the catch right there.

I asked pete on twitter and he said this
"Bethesda not at PAX East, but I will be there. Talking on a couple panels Fri and Sun. Come by and say hi!"

Maybe Bethesda learned a few things from Apple, and that is to create hype. Keeping things a secret drives people nuts, and Bethesda just might pull off a surprise. They have been so tight lipped, and that's what they want. I can picture them smiling right now, just how amazing a DLC we are ever going to get. And, its got to be that time already! 6 months so far, no DLC?

Yeah, this is going to be more than just an update...

What do you guys think?

The Bethesda Staff, are shy and timid like deer. Make too much noise or stare directly at them, they'll flee.

This reminds me of Mass Effect 2's Cerberus Network plan, which was actually a really clever way of rewarding new purchases without actually penalizing used. Bethesda takes it a step further by allowing everyone access.

Beth Guy?
You scared him off? LOL!

No. I'm not with Bethesda, but took it as a compliment though. Haha! If I were with Bethesda, I would certainly not leak information, which would end my career with the studio. Although, some game developers are just ready to call it quits, and do leak info. Dont know how often that happens, or if its very rare. Not sure how strict Bethesda is with keeping their mouths shut.

I'm just another guy giving his opinion, like the rest of you...

I wonder...
Was the ShiveringIsles DLC at the time, for Oblivion leaked at all?
Or... Was it a simple trailer for the ShiveringIsles DLC, that just kinda came out of nowhere?

The weird thing about the ShiveringIsles DLC, was that you could not only download the expansion, but you also had the option to purchase a separate Disk to install... Why? Why would they go through all that effort making a separate disk, when it could be easily purchased online? I could possibly understand, that many players were just not playing Online. I just didnt really get that whole separate disk install. You could then argue that people, even as of now, are playing Skyrim Offline. Since, it is a massive single player experience.
Are they just completely negated from a DLC, that would offer them so much new gameplay, that is afterall, a single player experience...

And, to why Bethesda had marketed prior DLCs Online, as well an optional Separate Disk purchase. This then leads me back to the question of... If Bethesda offered the ShiveringIsles in disk format, then shouldn't a Skyrim DLC have the same Disk Option...

I know I'm asking a ton of questions here, but it would be interesting to hear your take on this!
