My son is playing my character

Best thing to do would be see which is his most used weapon, and enchant a similar weapon with rubdish enchantments and call it the same name,

eg like if his current weapon is 'firesword' with 20 fire damage, then enchant the same model sword with fire damage 2 with a petty soul gem rename it firesword and see how long it takes him to work out the reduced damage.

Another idea is to smith ~100 iron daggers, improve them, and then place them in his most used chest. Improved items do not stack, so he'd either have to pull 100 daggers out, or withdraw all and then deposit everything back in.

EVEN BETTER! Take all of his stuff, then place it in one sack and then put the improved daggers in it! oh and enchant iron armour and name it "I know what you did" and put it on top of the chest.

 I like that.

I would simply ask..... and say that you know the house is bugged and was wondering if he moved stuff or if it was "lost in space".

My Husband and I played Red Dead Redemption with the same umm file. I liked gambleing, collecting flowers and finding the hidden treasures. Huge sums of money were gone cause he liked hunting and had to buy ammo. And while I didn't care I can see where it could get bothersome.

Or just put 2 in there. One that says "I know what you did" and the next named "this summer"...

Or is that too corny...
too corny :P

Another idea is to enchant armours with names of locations on them, kind of like a treaure map, then lead it to a set of say steel armour with the enchantments "Remember our agreement"

Orrrr you could write up a formal document stating that if he does not adhere to the agreement he must do something (mow the lawn for a month, clean dishes by hand, no soda) that is harmless.

Tell him that if he doesn't skin his aminals he doesn't get to play >;O. I believe you make money if you skin and sell the items.

The whole asking thing is a good idea, you're not blaming him but you are reminding him of consequences if he continues.

Fill his house with cheese wheels. I'm pretty sure there's duplication glitches out there.
Genius

It would be nice to see houses relock at night and require you to use a key to re-enter. Would make gaining keys a lot more important.

That's true but you don't have the problem of thieves barging in and stealing your stuff. Although in Oblivion for pc i would constantly lock my houses and stuff, just for role playing :P I still do that xD

Would be nice for an update. maybe a thief could steal something from your weapons rack or something and you find your housecarl knocked out and she tells you who did it. Forcing you to retrieve it :P

This is what you do. Take all of the items you want to hide from him and take them to Bromjunaar Sanctuary and use the wooden mask. Place the items in the chest in there then take off the mask. Hide the wooden mask in the abandoned house in Markarth. He'll NEVER find his stuff

I like the cheese wheel idea.

So do I. It might actually turn into a fun tit-for-tat with you son. You'll enter your home to find venison everywhere.

C'mon, man, it seems like a fun idea. It's a cool way for the OP to be able to play Skyrim with his kid. It's obvious he could use another save.

In a fun way? Just keep an eye on him while he plays without him knowing, then the moment he takes something from your house, just scream "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM" and iunno elbow drop him or something.
