So recently we got confirmations about the release of Crossbows and Mounted Combat.
That got me hyped as hell , but I'm also wondering if there's a plan to add Spears ?

I mean , Beth added quite a lot stuff from the Gamejam , so what about Spears ?

I thought I read somewhere that spears are a work in progress. Maybe in the next DLC.

I'm not all that interested in spears. But I wouldn't mind if it was in the game. Spears seem to be a popular demand, so maybe they're coming next.

By the way , what do you think ?
IF there will be Spears , should they take a whole new Perk-Tree ? I hope so !

That'd be sweet. I'd make a Redguard, poison his spear-tip, and name him Oberyn Martell.

Yes , there will be Crossbows in the DLC.

there was avideo on youtube that shows all the things the devs did with a week of modding and most of it has come about.
the voice control over shouts, which also made the dragons talk out the words while shouting. the dragon lord seems to be comeing out as well. dynamic kills were in it. goblins, snow elves, effect arrows like the old theifs games(water puts out fires fire relights, hopefully rope arrows ) spears were in it and looked more like using a bow staff, water dungeons. but they all looked finished and since they have added some i think its the best place to see what stuff might make it to the expansion. i dont remember where exactly on youtube but it was something to do with the devs having a week off but could only mod skyrim.

You wouldn't mind linking the source, would you? I've only seen the info data-mined from the last patch. No official confirmation about them.

Anyways, I would love spears. I've said for a long time that if there was any one weapon I would want to take into battle against a dragon, it'd be a spear/lance.

I saw the video for spears and they showed a two handed spear like a pike. Any word if they'll have one handed spears to use with a shield?

I would rather have crossbows first. Crossbows and spears were so addicting to use in Morrowind / Fallout for some reason

Um, that wasn't an official confirmation. That was someone posting what they found digging through files.

Both crossbows and spears would greatly suit my archer's playstyle. I very much want.

I've also been thinking, if they add new perk trees, that means a higher level cap. Awesome.

There's going to be crossbows. There's too many references to them in the coding. Unless they cut them out at the last minute, there in.

No official confirmation, but the data is almost just as good, considering how many files were dedicated to xbows.

I hope there are 1h spears and 2h polearms. It would be wicked to go in 300 style.

Yep i miss spears and it wouldn't hurt to have them as a option.

They better have cooler animations than we saw in gamejam.

If they do add spears, I kind of hope they get their own perk tree. But that might be too much to ask for.
