Spell suggestions for DLC

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 8:10 am

I would like to see more spells like "Detect Life"

My favorite ideas are:

Detect Undead - obvious
Detect Ingredients- to help find alchemy ingredients (maybe food) even in containers
Detect Gold - detect presence of gold, even when on corpses and in containers
Detect Trainer - highlights people who can train and, most importantly, skill books

Also, a potion, spell, or scroll to exit a "dungeon" would be nice too. Could/should have same restrictions as fast travel.

Thoughts?

Yeah they are very lacking. The bound weapons are lame IMO.

Summon Dragon priest^^

bound weapons are fine, I'm just glad they're not the Summon BFG like they were in Morrowind.

I think a Waterwalking spell like Oblivion would be cool. Missed that one.

More conjuration spells, bring back open lock, waterwalking, dispel, levitate(yeah I know it's not going to happen), jump, slowfall, mark and recall, and more destruction spell options please.

hmm... do you know you can have Two Permanent Zombies(all the way to level 40 i think)
After I found that out conjuration became my favorite skill, plus the Bound Bow with Soul Trap perk is very nice.... Couple that with the Archery Perks and its even better

Those permanent zombies have changed my skyrim experience all for the better. I just got done watching my Thralls defeat some Bandit-Thugs while i relaxed in my Throne watching the whole thing

Jump, slowfall, expert level runes, some kind of haste, bound mace, axe, dagger, warhammer and claymore, summon a whole bunch of Daedric servants, such as Ogrim and Golden Saints, but only after you complete the respective Prince's quest, expert level runes, cure disease, even if it's a master level spell, waterwalking, ghost/wraith summons for necromancers, slow, destruction on touch spells for assassin and nightblade type characters, did I mention expert level runes often enough?

From the top of my head:
- Mark & Recall
- Unlock & Lock
- Dispel
- Waterwalking
- Levitation
- Detect key
- Detect enchantment
- Divine intervention
- Slowfall
- Chameleon
- Reflect
- Swift Swim

And quite a few more.

But uhm.. Only if it were a free DLC. Otherwise it would imho just be a cheap rip off of features that otherwise could and should have been included in the game as it is.

Are you talking with the creation engine? That is nice and all, but that ignores the console (Xbox/PS3) people like me.

I am assuming, from what they have said (that DLC will have "a lot of meat"), that we should see a pack with additional spells, perks, regions, quests, items, and more - all part of one DLC package.

Frankly, I would gladly pay for that. I was NOT suggesting a "spell pack" be released and, like you, I would take issue with making me pay for a few extra spells.

Spell creation was added in Morrowind and Oblivion without mods.

I want spell creation but with more features and limits. In oblivion you could make your self 100% invisible with a ring and a spell. But you should be able to create totally new spells... i.e. finding elements around the world and combining them to make a new magical energy.

Honestly, admit my comment was made a bit out of ignoranance, though many people seem to agree.

Well that would be pretty awesome. They should definately bring it back.

1) There is detect dead.
2) Alchemy shops or UESP.
3) Uhm....
4) UESP.
