One more guys.

Do we get any followers out of this? Like, in the companions you can get members to follow you after the questline. Dark Brotherhood has initiates. Anything like that for after Dawnguard's over?

All the DG members can become followers, plus Serana on either side. Dogs and Trolls on DG, death hounds on Vamp

Does it matter which side of the smithing tree you go to craft dragon weapons/arrows or is the light side good too?

Doesn't matter, it's the same perk regardless.

100 Smithing results in Dragon tree which is both light and heavy

Doesn't matter. Your good on either side. Still deadric has the defense. But dragon has the punch thankfully.

By the way, major thanks for all the info guys. These threads are really appreciated. I like to plan a bit before playing. Might actually start a character from scratch with the new DLC when I get home. (Yes, I'm stuck at work).

Go with an archer build allot of archer friendly stuff in this dlc. Theres a bow that stacks with the 30% speed perk. so you get a 60% speed increasin in bow draw. O-O

Are there capes / cloaks? If there are, are they just a cosmetic attachment for the main armor or a separate slot?

No, the Vamp Royal armor has a short cape but it is attached to it, No capes

They're cosmetic, there isn't any new slots or armor types.

As of the beta, Zephyr didn't stack with the perk. However, it might have been a bug, and I haven't tested it in the retail version yet.

The death hounds are all black with glowing eyes. Not really husky-like.

Yep. Wild werewolves are in, just added for apparently no reason at all. Wild werewolves but no Sanies Lupinus.

The DG get Siberian Huskys in Leather armor, the VAMPS get Death hounds
