Stuff you've never seen...

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 9:33 am

200+ hours in. Level 55 Battlemage. All thu'ums learned. Full suite of Legendary Daedric armor and weapons with maximum enchantment buffs. Mjoll as a wife/companion with similar weaponry, decked out in enchanted Dragonbone. Thane of every hold, all houses owned. Dark Brotherhood Listener, Champion of every Daedra, Arch-Mage of Winterhold, Head of the Thieves' Guild, Harbinger of the Companions. Bard, werewolf, Nightingale, cool with the Blades, Psijic Order and the Forsworn, and lest we forget, the Dovakhiin. I feel like I've criss-crossed every inch of Skyrim, and I'm pretty sure I've discovered every location, since I haven't had a black icon on my HUD in at least a few weeks.

And yet...

1) I've never once run into Mai'q the Liar.
2) Somehow, I completely missed ever learning the Telekinesis spell.
3) I have a dagger called Kahvozein's Fang hanging over the dresser at my primary house in Whiterun, and the only reason it's there is because that was the only way I could remove it from my inventory...Since it's a quest item endemic to a quest I've never received.
4) I've never received "Blood on the Ice," despite going to look for it.
5) Somewhere out there is one...more...Barenziah stone.
6) I keep hearing about a bunch of hunters somewhere who are hot-tubbing it in a natural spring...But I've never seen 'em.

What have YOU missed out on, despite going over every inch of the joint with a fine-toothed comb?

1. I did not see Maiq until I started walking everywhere. Now he shows up after about 5 or 6 cells. Usually he is off to the side of the road, so you may have walked right by him. The first time I saw him, I thought, great, another bandit, only he did not attack me. However it was not until 60 hours into the game that I did see him, but I did a lot of Fast Traveling during that time.

2. I finally found that spell tome near a door I need to use Telekinesis on. I have only seen one of them in the game.

I enjoy using Kahvozein's Fang to collect my "trophies" from the Dragons. But thanks for the tip about how to remove it from my inventory. I'll never meet the requirements for the quest.

I've not yet been to Dragon bridge, only town I haven't seen I think (wonder if it's any good)

And I've only done 1 Deadric quest so far so I've got another 11 (I think) of them to see

As for M'aiq I've only seen him 2 times but I did see him after only 10 hours

The hot tubbers are near Darkwater crossing. Was awesome when I found them. Here is one thing you have never owned. an orcish war axe of arcing that looks like an iron war axe and is improved with iron ignots. I found it in a chest and looted it. Thinking ooo new orcish weapon looked like iron i was so pissed XD.

It's not that great, but the bridge itself is amazing.

I, for one, also haven't come across the Telekinesis spell.

Still got to complete the thieves guild and mage's college questlines. Haven't ran across Hircine's quest yet, and I've only collected about half of the words of power. Oh, and the dragon priests.

200 hours in, with two characters, and I've never been to Falkreath. I'm saving the city for my third character.

Still haven't seen an ancient or elder dragon with my first character (150 hours with that one, lvl. 38). And still haven't been attacked by more than one dragon at once.

There are tons of stuff I have missed or have yet to find, these are just a few that come to my mind atm.

I still can't find 2 dragon priest masks that I am looking for.
There still are dungeons that I have not been to, so who knows what I missed inside of them.
There are 10 Daedric Quests I have yet to even start, or find .
There have been some eater eggs I have heard about, but have yet to run across.
I haven't found the telekinesis spell.

oh, and I haven't been a vampire yet.

350+ hours, one character, only just maxed up on a bunch of skills, still chasing some perks I want rather than need, and still finding lots of new things at level 55.

You find more if you run places, rather than fast travel. I only use it when I don't want to have fighting, or have a load of booty, or am after something specific.

I just have the feeling that Skyrim is more about the 'task', in comparison to F3, which was more about the surviving.

If you do the College of Winterhold series of quests...

Spoiler

You may find that the telekinesis spell is easier to find. One would be a..maze..d how useful it is in the fight with a peculiar looking dragon.

My level 50 lizard did find the Telekinesis spell. But, he has Kahvozein's Fang and just keeps it in a dagger case in the Markath house because I havent found out where to take it. I've found 5 of the 8 dragon priest masks (and the wooden mask). I have 16 of the 24 Barenzia stones.

Things I have done; I'm the leader of the Thieves Guild, leader of the Dark Brotherhood, archmage of the College of Winterhold, leader of the Companions, one of the Nightingales, member of the Bard's College, thane of Whiterun and Solitude, own Breezehome, Proudspire Manor, and Yrindrel Hall (sp?), married Aela the Huntress (and dressed her in some sixy upgraded Forlorn armor). And, I assassinated the Emporer. You're next, Ulfric.

Some of them, you can. Mostly weapons. If you equip a quest-specific weapon, and then activate a weapon rack, most of them will mount to it.

And if they don't, then they'll still exit from your inventory, and clang harmlessly to the floor. At that point, you can just drag them into a corner or something.

Never seen the hottubing hunters either.

They scared the **** out of me when I first game across them. Thought it was a ravaged camp full of dead bodies, but then I heard "THE JARL CAN'T HARDLY EAT ALL THESE DEER CAN HE!?!"

I loved finding the hot tubbing hunters.

I'm 130 hours in and I've never been to Solitude, Winterhold and a larger portion of the W, NW and NE.

Up until now I didn't know telekinesis exists. I still have yet to:

Join the Empire (it just doesn't seem appropriate since I do the DB questline and.. well... ya know
Become Jarl of every hold
Restore the Thieves' Guild
Complete that quest in Dawnstar with the nightmares and whatnot
Find 2 more dragon priest masks
Get married
Find all words of power
Kill Paarthurnax, and stay cool with a blades
Get a skill other than smithing to 100
Become a vampire
