Ok, so basically, think of the most awesomeness feature you have experienced in any-other game,
and explain how this can be adapted into Brink. Not saying this is "going" to be included, just curious on your favorite features of your favorite games.
Happy thinking.

I really like how modern games have finally started allowing you to pick up peoples weapons after they have been killed. Its especially useful when you are low on ammo, and far more realistic than a soldier tripping over AK-47s while looking for ammo for his m4, in the middle of a battlefield.

BRINK has Parkour, so one of my most favourite features is in.

However, I haven't heard of a 3rd-Person mode yet, so I would love to see one in BRINK. Especially as they put so much effort into the whole Parkour-thing and also added player customisation. I want to see my custom character doing the Parkour.

And despite all the negative aspects people try to attach to cover systems, I like these as well and if BRINK would allow 3rd-person, it could also include a Rainbow Six Vegas alike cover-system.

There is the one perk that gives you a 3rd person view while you are completing objectives like planting the bomb, which allow you to watch your own back, and see a bit around corners.

<_< yeah, seriously. You made a whole topic about you leaving, then you're back? Not that I don't love having a larger community here, but could you save the pointless topic creation before you take a three day break next time?

As far as features I'd like to see meshed with brink: Gears of War cover system, and also some :fallout: /Mass Effect facial customization sliders.

All objectives have only one place where they can be done. Bombs are always planted in the same place for instance. Two main reasons - so that you dont have to go looking for the bomb, which is annoying and unfair; and so that the animations could be spot on.

I'd like to see a push for voice communication. Xbox people, you get headsets. Use them... Like they really should have gamers use communication, squads or entire team. I don't care. Just Voice communicaton!!!

After playing some Republic Commando, I found another feature I'd like to see.

In the multiplayer mode of RC, your weapon determines your speed. So pistols are fast, heavy machine guns are slow, ect. I know body type determines your speed, but I'd like to see a small modifier based on your weapon.

Based on the weapons you are carrying or the one you are using? Because the latter doesn't make too much sense.

I think he was saying that games where your running speed is based off of the weapons you have in your hands are a bit unrealistic. Games sometimes make you walk at a crawl when you have a machine gun out, but then you pull out your knife and can sprint as fast as anyone else. The weight shouldn't go away just because you shoulder the weapon.

ah, that makes more sense, i also thing i read his thing wrong, only got a few min before i have to go to work, sorry everyone for my hurried stupidity

anyway, i kind of like the idea, i mean a heavy with a Minigun should move slower than a heavy with an SMG

In some ways it makes sense for the weights of all your weapons (both equipped and shouldered) to determine your movement speed, but at the same time, it makes sense for one bullet of any kind to the face to kill you instantly. Have to remember we're talking about a game here, and sometimes more realistic isn't better.

I think only your equipped weapon should determine your speed, and the others to be ignored. That way, someone who always uses a pistol, even though they have to carry around an SMG or AR, will get a speed bonus.

i remember how ..don't complain... mw2 had speed based on weapon in hand.
knifers got a 3killstreak and ran around meleeing everyone with the smokecan in their hand, combined with the speedperks, that was superhumane speed. running speed should always be based on both of the weapons you carry, not how mw2 "fixed" that problem.(speed based on the primary gun you started with, because then people start with a smg and pick up an AR/lmg first chance they get)

i hate sliders. not all of us have 3 hours to make our characters look like [censored] brad pitt, or who ever the new guy girls pawn after is.

SD said that from the very start, they did not want sliders, because they are difficult for the casual gamer to get something they like, and the final product ends up looking worse than pre-made selections, even if someone knows what they are doing with the sliders.

Btw that whole leaving topic, I am no where as active as I am on other games forums.
Day to day I check for something new, so I don't contribute alot. Just thought I'd start a convo.

And to my input to the features, I would love to see some really improved matchmaking techniques. I'm sick of having to reconnect cause someone rage quits.
Also would like to see some "play of the match" footage.

People who would focus on their pistol would then pick a SMG to get the best speed.

I think the weapons you're carrying should determine your movement speed. But the weapon you have equipped should determine your climbing speed.

I'd love it if they removed Iron-sights, but I guess it's an "outdated" concept. No iron-sight games are still the best IMHO

We should see gameplay when the product is closer to release date (whenever that is) So December at the earliest.

I think having iron-sights is actually the best thing ever to happen to shooters.
