I didn't think there was that much to them, to be honest. I wish there was more emphasis on their relationship with the civil war in Skyrim. It could have led to a good plot line, but it's merely mentioned in reference.

At least they have a reason to have that attitude towards elves considering the near destruction of humans by elves in skyrim when they first came to tamreil.

ulfric doesn't believe in removing the non-nords. He just wants a free Skyrim that can actually be ruled by the Nords, where they can make their own rules based on Nordic values. Ulfric ALLOWED the dunmer to settle in windhelm when they had nowhere else to go. If he were so prejudice of non-nords he would've gotten rid of all of the Mer in his cities. Clearly he didn't. The only ones who are prejudice & racist are just a handful of stormcloaks, and even Ulfric does not condone racism. Hell, my character is a Bosmer and even he agrees with Ulfric. No one wants to be ruled over and forcefully converted. Skyrim DOES belong to the Nords, and hopefully in some future ES installment I can retake Valenwood from the Thalmor as Valenwood belongs to the BOSMER.

You do know the Stormcloaks just want the Empire and Thalmor out of Skyrim, right? That is like saying America was Nazis when we rebel against the British Empire. Be careful what you say.

As for the Thalmor. They are a good common enemy. Not like the perfect enemy of nemesis but a good common enemy that you will always hate. I'll always take me time and slaughter a group of them.

I don't like the Thalmor. I mean they are painted in such a way that it's pretty much impossible to like them, so that's not surprising. It irks me that they are tied to single race though. One of my favorite archetypes to play is an Altmer mage and having the most unlikable, nastiest villains around look and sound exactly like my character bothers me, but what can you do.

I love how the letter says I know how to defend myself....and i love how they were sent not even a minute after I killed one of their patrols lol.

You can always have an outcast Altmer Mage. A High Elf that's seen past the Thalmor's lies and has decided to work against them.

I love though how the stormcloaks don't realize that if the Empire wasn't there...the thalmor would massacre them. The thalmor don't want any side to win either way cuz the war is weakening the empire. But if the empire wins, that brings skyrim with it, the thalmor would be "easier" to fight. But if the Empire is divided then well it'll be crushed...and hah thalmor I'd like them to send an entire company of troops. I'll eat them for breakfast.

As long as the dragon born is around, the thalmor wouldn't dare. Besides, the empire is crumbling anyway... It's near death and needs to be discarded. Instead they should form an alliance of all nations: skyrim, hammerfell, high rock, cyrodiil & whats left of morrowind, to combat the thalmor.

If I could avoid killing them in the main quest, I would probably join them on a few of my characters.

Like the Thalmor massacred the Redguards? Oh wait, Hammerfell defeated the Thalmor with no help from anyone else. If they can, so can Skyrim, or any other province. No one needs the Empire to defeat the Thalmor.

There's more bad blood between the Nords and the Dunmer than there is between the Nords and the Altmer due to the long historical rivalry which has existed between the two peoples (e.g the Dunmer-Dwemer defeat of the Nordic invaders in Morrowind, and the intervention of Nord clans in the War of the First Council). It also seems that most of the non-thalmor altmer you see in-game have integrated more into Nord society than the Dunmer who have migrated to skyrim in larger numbers and clung onto their own culture rather than accept Nord culture, which has led to them being resented and mistrusted by many Nords in Windhelm.

But does Skyrim really belong to the Nords? Elves and Orcs lived there before the Nords conquered it and many Orcs still live there in their strongholds which go back centuries. The entire Reach area is inhabited mainly by reachmen and yet the Stormcloaks demand that it remain under Nord control.

I think I've killed more Thalmor than the Thalmor killed Blades, and that's a lot. Almost tired of doing it. When the dialog starts up as I'm baiting them into attacking me, i picture the Dovahkiin yawning, tapping his wristwatch, and saying, "Look, i've got a dragon to kill, can we just skip to the part where you try to kill me so I can sell your crap? Sheesh, people, I DON'T HAVE ALL MORNING!"

on one side they are Altmer, which make them near to god (for me) BUT on the other they are actually OVER-arrogant than your normal Altmer (which can be tolerated and understood cause they ARE better than everyone else) but these guys just take arrogance and racism to the next level.

I mean yes Altmer are better than everyone else in every way and form but its rude to rub it in and actually kill others for it... bad thalmor

Ummm... when you ask the dunmer if they are afraid of "certain events" they specifically state that they aren't because "No dunmer has been 'effected by them' "

Nedes arrived in Skyrim to find Falmer and Dwemer. They shared land with each other until the night of tears in which the Falmer attacked and slaughtered most of the nedes. Ysgramor returned with a bunch more and retaliated against the Falmer, who retreated underground. Dwemer enslaved the Falmer. Eventually the dwemer wiped themselves out leaving mutated Falmer and nords as the only occupants of Skyrim. Nords settle in since there is literally no one left in skyrim. Fast forward to the third era. The War of Bend'r-Mahk. Skyrim conquers the reach(Consists of both High Rock and Hammerfell territories). Despite numerous attempts to retake it by both hammerfell and high rock, neither group was ever able to reclaim it. Neither group liked the reachmen living around the area though. Reachmen have a bad rep. Partly due to their mishmash of racial traits, partly due to their practice of hedge magic, and partly due to their sacrificing people to daedra.(They might've been content to let them be with the first two, but that last one probably went over the line)

"You are but a do, and I am your master!". Yeah, any Thalmor that even starts to say that to me gets a sword to the face.

Personally I love them. Specifically, I love the way that they walk in single file through forests where my assasin is lurking
