THALMOR!

This could possibly arise from the Saadia Quest (siding to capture the Princess), as the Alik'r then have taken out an Agent. This identifies your character as of interest to the Alik'r within Skyrim as someone who could assist in the "resistance". The Thalmor have operative everywhere" so taking them out a bit at a time is a bit slow. Having Quests to organise resistance to their influence would assist the Empire.

Having an alternative to the Civil War outcomes would be good for a refugee from Morrowind type. You are meant to be able to negotiate a Peace Treaty between the Empire and Stormcloaks as part of MQ, why not work on that as an extension to allowing the Stormcloaks and Imperial Empire to work towards a true "resistance against the Thalmor " alliance, even just through espionage activity? This may draw the Thalmor into an open fight in Skyrim.

Hey, You are Dovakhin, you can call Dragons. It must have some advantages.

If the Stormcloaks win, there is a new nation openly hostile to them now who is openly worshipping Talos, and now their own recuperation is interrupted by having to (attempt to) put down this new nation.

A hostile, but weak nation recently ravaged by civil war and dragon attacks. A Stormcloak victory also isolates the province of High Rock and while that gives the Cyrodiilic armies a chance to centralise, it does kill the Empire on a larger scale and divides the races of men, which is more important to the Thalmor than the provocative ban of Talos worship. Conquering the races one by one is an easier feat than taking on multiple provinces at once and when they rule Tamriel, anyone who even breathes the world Talos will be cut down.

The Thalmor approve of Ulfric Stormcloak. They'd like the war to drag on, but they consider a Stromcloak victory more appealing than an Imperial one.

Thalmor > The Warlord's Empire and the Stormcloaks.

I hope a DLC lets me take it down. I had such fun striking down that "Emperor" Titus Mede II.

So did my rogue character, though, it was more satisfying taking out the guy who placed the hit.

I'm really wishing that the expansion will have an option to join the Thalmor. It could start with Ondolemar's little quest. And he could have more quests. Eventually the player could officially join the Thalmor and have the option of a Thalmor wizard robe or Elven armor. Eventually as the player works their way up in the Thalmor he or she could take orders directly from Elenwen, and maybe complete the questline by doing something major.

Drakkenfan, Alikah... You do realize that Thalmor victory = no more Elder Scrolls games, right? They want to end reality.

I played an Altmer first and I was looking forward to the Thalmor being non-hostile and have some unique dialogue with me. Was quite disappointed when they acted like I'm not one of their race...

Then we just get TES: Summerset Isles, finally a game in the region of the elves.

I just walk in to Thalmor Headquaters for the second time and noticed the beds' ownership are marked as PC. If you're playing a Thalmor/High Elf character, you could virtually make this your home.

I'm doing my part by killing every Thalmor I see. I'm not a sneak guy though, so I need to figure out how to kill those Thalmor at Markarth. Even though I plan to be on the side of the empire, I rescued the guy from Whiterun just so I could kill the fort where they were keeping them, and I pretty much killed every Thalmor at the embassy. Not enough I know, but at least I plan to put a dent in their manpower loading.

As far as the DLC idea of being on the side of the Thalmor if you were on the side of the empire ... bull. I'd just turn around and kill them, learning the necessary sneak skills if I have to. Really they ARE the villain in the piece and I hope we get the chance to give them their just due. I have a feeling though that the next game is going to be ALL about the Thalmor.

It would be nice to see a choice of how the story for this goes as a DLC based on your advances in the Civil War:
Stormcloak - you destroy the Empire's direct influence on Skyrim, but the Thalmor request use of you and forgiveness for your foolishness.
Imperial - you have succeeded in Skyrim, now it is time to further the wishes of the Thalmor's plans

Aligning yourself with the Empire is not the same as aligning yourself with the Thalmor. In fact, the Empire is greatest enemy of the Thalmor, despite how the present situation may make it appear.

That would make the games boring if it was in Summerset Isles all the time and what you mean finally a game in the region of the elves there was morrowind and the last time I checked Dark elves are elves.

I would like to, but I wouldn't try it. That building is bugged to hell and I don't want my good stuff disappearing. (My Ebony Blade already disappeared from Hjerim.)

You don't have to make a Thalmor victory canon. And, just because they win doesn't mean they'll accomplish their goal. If that is their goal.

Did you have it on a weapon rack?
Cause in that case it probably fell out and might still be on the floor.

The Ebony Blade and the Skull of Corruption won't stay on racks

I had it on the shield rack behind one of the display cases. It didn't appear anywhere nearby and the left weapon rack on it doesn't work anymore. (So now there's an Ebony Greatsword and a Whiterun shield on my wall.)

Yeah it fell down then, it broke the weapon rack for me too when that happened.
Sounds like it might have fallen through/inside an object though, in which case you'll probably never be able to reclaim it.
You might want to try a fus-ro-dah in the direction where you think it might be though, to try and shake it loose

Keeping the DLC in Skyrim, they could have a series of quest related to dealing with the Thalmor. You are the Dragon born and the Thalmor already dislike you, so you could be approached by the Empire or the Stormcloaks, depending on who you sided with, to seek out Thalmor spies or strongholds.
