The Armor Combination thread

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 12:44 am

Like the title says.
Figured out how much fun it would be if we would post each others cool armor combinations (no mods plz)

for instance:

Steel helmet+ solitude guard armor+ leather bracers+ banded iron shield+ Steel war axe+ stormcloack officer boots

=> knight

What are your armor combinations?

It's not really a combination but the shrouded armor and shrouded hood (the hood that goes with the robes) look quite cool on my female

Deadric armor with the DB hood. Colors even match up perfectly. Looks SWEET!
Females look HOT in the Falmor chest armor with a silver and emerald Tiara. My fav is the female Forsworn armor and Headdress. The Headress actually works as hair extensions for the females and looks great!

on a male:

Dark Brotherhood armor with Nightingale boots, gauntlets and hood is also a nice combination for an assassin.

I use forsworn armor on my sneaky female vampire breton deathlord of all things deathly, but use a tan mage hood (got the unecnhanted version so I can add my own enchantments) instead of the forsworn headdress. It looks really good with the palm print face paint and the way the hood sits on her makes the feathers look like they're woven through it, instead of dangling from some piddly string.

With Merhune's Razor and master level destruction spells, she looks like an unassuming backwoods hippie...until she disintegrates you with the lightning storm spell. :shocking:

On my female Nord assassin I often used Shrouded Cowl (Masked) with Guild Master's Armor (chest), and Shrouded Gloves/Boots.

On my Altmer mage I use Arch-mage robes with a Silver & Sapphire Circlet, with College of Winterhold boots and Mystic Tuning gloves with Keening on his side.

On my unarmed Khajiit I use a full set of Steel Armor except for the head. I use Yngol's Helm as the head. go go viking khajiit.

Savior's hide, stormcloak officers helmet, forsworn boots and fur bracers. This is the best 'fur' type light armor combination I could find.

For an evil heavy armor character, the ebony mail/armor combined with daedric gauntlets, boots and helmet looks badass.

The steel plate armor looks great for a sort of white knight, paladin type build.

For an evil looking mage, I find the mourners clothes, shrouded hood, thalmor gloves and black boots (possibly thalmor boots) fit the description well.

My first character, a male Nord, looked positively evil in ebony armor, boots and gauntlets, plus Otar (priest mask).

You need the pc version for this. (i don't have one :ermm: )

Fur cloak (mods)+Nocturnal Robes=Ice mage

Not exactly armor, but i thought it might looks nice.

But, you asked for a non-modden one.
So yeh, I would say full Ebony+Nightingale hood might look good.

  • Fur armor (the kilt made out of pelts, the one with no chest what so ever), or scaled horn armor
  • Hide bracers
  • Hide boots
  • Ancient nord helmet
  • Anceint nord amulet
Barbarian badass.

I use this (for purely cosmetic reasons, no big advantages):

-Savior's Hide + Horned steel helmet + imperial bracers + imperial boots or the shock resistant boot found in the College

-Ebony mail + Linwe gloves + Linwe boots + Linwe hood

-Ancient nord armor + ancient nord boots + dragonbone gauntlets + dragonbone helm or Jagged Crown

Krosis, thieves guild armour, dark brotherhood gloves and nightingale boots. I chose thieves guild because it matches with everything better.
If you get banded iron armour in a full set your guy looks like a real dragonslayer. When I creat a nord that will be his armour, it will never change.
Daedric with a dragon priest looks ok also.

Studded or Scaled Armor with a Novice Hood looks amazing in that "Druid" Sense. Sadly, it doesn't work for Females because of the low-cut body armor, and the high cutoff for the hood.

That said, Females look exceptional in Ebony Mail + NIghtingale Hands/Feet and Guildmaster's hood.

Iron Helmet + anything but Dwemer, Ebony or Daedric looks good.

Elven Armor and the Diadem of the Savant looks good on both Male and Female.

Savior's Hide, Scaled+Bracers and Iron Helmet (Or no Helmet) looks good on Females. It's a good look if you want to appear to be a matriarch of a witch
coven.

Ancient Nord Armor, Leather Boots, Hide Bracers is another great Female Looks-Only combo. (Can add Iron Helmet in too)

Those are about all the good mixes I can think of.

Emperor's clothes with the Wedding Wreath and Wedding Boots looks very classy.

Savior's Hide with the Helm of Yngol

Imperial Helmet (the Greek-styled one found at the Talos Shrine) with any steel or imperial armor
