Grand Theft Auto 4. It does have its issues(like any game), but no other game I have ever played has outweighed its negative points so completely. This is, in my personal opinion, near perfection...and now I await an angry San Andreas fan. :toughninja:

Phoenix Wright series. Not much gameplay, but I just love everything about them.

Hmm probably Pokèmon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald just because of the sheer amount of time I've spent playing them (an average of 829.33 hours per cartridge)

Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings.

Few games can really match it. None have thus far surpassed it.

This was my favorite RTS before AoM. I guess I liked the Greek/Roman, Egyptian, and Norse mythology more than the Middle Ages. Now that I read more about the game, I realize how much I played it; playing the different civilizations was so much fun.

Age of Mythology was good as well, but I feel like after the expansion Ensemble just careened downhill uncontrollably. I wouldn't go so far as to call it better than Age of Empires II though.

I used to love building beautiful thought out cities with way more houses than I needed, and the background music is essentially the ground zero to where I can trace all of my musical tastes.

Duke Nukem 3D and Forever.

Batman: Arkham Asylum/City.

Battlefield 3 has won my respect.

Turok 2: Seeds of Evil.

Metal Gear Solid.

I could never get into Age of Mythology as much as Age of Empires II for some reason. It just didn't seem to have the same charm. Maybe it was the setting or something (the medieval period appeals to me a lot more than ancient mythology).

Skyrim, most likely.

I'm completely serious. The sheer size of the world, the attention to detail, the variety in builds, everything. It's incredible.

Oblivion was my favorite game before Skyrim. I love TES.

I think it was the graphics actually. They made a bold jump to full 3D in Age of Mythology, and it was still kind of a "new" thing for RTS games. You went from massively detailed and beautiful sprites to...well...visible polygons. That was the hardest thing for me when I started AoM after AoE2.

On the flip side it allowed them to have a very personal character driven campaign that really worked well in the scope of ancient mythology and an Odyssey type story.

In terms of greatest visceral reactions to a game... Portal. And runner-up going to The Secret of Monkey Island. Both cleverly manipulated games that hit me in the funnybone.

In terms of sustained interest, the top 3 would be Morrowind, Minecraft, and C&C: Red Alert. Though I do recall as a young boy being VERY entertained by Zaxxon.

Probably Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn with The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind being a close second.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game... There are just some childhood dreams one will never let go of, and that game is the closest I'll get to becoming one of the Ghostbusters. That and it's probably the closest we'll get to seeing Ghostbusters 3, since Bill Murray won't read the script they've sent him. I mean, it's been sitting in his house collecting dust for the past half year.

Mhh...hard question in these times.

My verdict isn't finished for Skyrim so I'll wait for now.

Age of Empire 2 Resident evil 2 or Halo CE.

Gears of war serie is also awesome.

I'll go for RE 2 :)
