The Companions Quest Bug : V

Hi there,

I fnished the whole companion's quest, and when i try to talk to Vilkas he says he already gave me some work and that I must finish it. Farkas wont give me any quest either, saying I should first finish VIlkas' one.

The thing is I haven't the quest in my diary (sure 100%)... What could I do?

I guess the last of the main companion quest.
Not sure because it was a long time ago, I didn't came back to Jorrvaskr because I had no marker on the map there for any quest, and no quest in my diary

You must recall the last quest you did? Did you travel to the temple of the Harbingers in the far North? The tomb of the companions founder? Some of the quests don't guide you on, they simply just leave you with a choice and nobody will give you most work til you do the quest.
I had finished hunting the silver hand for awhile but nobody said I needed to visit the harbinger to start a quest for him. Even though he was sitting there waiting for me....so tell me what your lat quest for them was and maybe I can help

You mean the dungeon where I had to throw a witcher's head to cure an ancient? yes.

I think in my last stay in Jorrvaskr I was told that some silver hand camp would survive and that I should fight them, but it wasnt really a quest, just a sort of finish speech.

I understand some of the quest dont guide you on.. but should'nt I have a quest in my diary at least?

I'll try the Harbinger as you said.

The ancient you cured was the harbinger! He was killed by the silver hand! Your now harbinger! Didn't you read/get any of that info? Lol!
You should now have several more companions, including the drunk guy who wandered about Whiterun! Vilkas stats at the ruins to check the carvings.
Next quests are from Aela the Huntress so go chat to her!

Ho sorry, I play the game In french, that's why the word Harbinger didn't recall me anything.

But I did all this. I'm cleary after that, in these misc. random quests they give you after you completely finished the main one (same for thieves and dark brotherhood)

Vilkas is even proposing me to follow me as a random companion so I guess the main is over.

Just keep chatting to the two blokes they should ask you to help cure them at some point! You might need a few missions from Aela und your belt first

I know my quests go a bit funny if I have been playing for quite a while, 24 hours straight in one instance.

Farkas asked for "the help" but Vilkas doesn't seem to say much.

Yes, that's right. I completed the first of her three (I think) side quests...totems of something.

I've never actually received a quest from Vilkas.

One thing to check is if you have any Misc. quests that mention killing an animal in a house. During the Companion quests I would go ask for work and they would tell me I needed to go clear out some monster from someone's house (my first one was kill a wolf in Ysolda's house). You might also see if you have a main quest with about the same description. I think I currently have one from Aela about killing a frost atronach in Windhelm or the College at Winterhold or something like that.

No. all I have is the "escaped prisoner", which i did not finished, but I got it in my fisnished quest part of the diary.

Sorry, but without knowing which quest you are on, it is very difficult.

But if you still haven't finished Escaped Criminal, do that. Or, pleasedon'tshootmemods, try typing this into the console:

setstage CR07 stage 200

That will finish the quest. Save first! If it does, try talking to Vilkas again and see if it is alright.

Thanks the console code seems to work, but didnt resolve the problem.

I'm nearly sure that my last quest was the last one of the companions.

Shows all current quest IDs, note: Having more than four quest or more may have some quest IDs will be cut off when displayed in console(You can scroll through console using Page Up and Page Down keys on the keyboard).

Help me please.
The Beginning of Companions.
Farkas send me to sleep and promised me a job later from him and others. Then left the place and completed some other quests and return to companions. But no one gives me any quests, they tells that Farkas has already given me job, and Farkas tells the same. Is it bug? There are not any notes in journal about companions active quests. Reloading of previous saves dont help.
I dont want to start new game... ^((((

Maybe my english isnt perfect, sorry

I mean that I joined the Companions. Then Farkas escorted me to quarters, where a free bed was available. He oferred me to have a rest (sleep) and he didn't offer me a job, But next time i spoke to him there were no quests. All companions tell that I already have a running job from Farkas. There are no notes in diary (only completed previous one). Farkas says me do active job (but what job?!!)
