Two hrs, 4 stealth boys, 5 reloads, 60 .308 AP rounds and a whole lots os swearing I finally killed all of the Deathclaws in the Quary. The reward wasn't worth it but the satisfaction of watching those over grown bastards die WAS!!!

I just ran into some of these nasty svckers, yesterday. Journeying around the Hoover Dam area, I ran across a family of 'em, 6 to be exact.
Cowboy Repeater with a 1st Recon Beret and Chinese Stealth Suit, Boone in Chinese Stealth Suit with his beret... short and successful confrontation. :toughninja:

Boost Guns when you get the chance, plus Books are a big :goodjob: .

Fire from range with incendiary ammo. Even if your guns skill isn't too great the fire will knock 'em down to size before they can get to you.

I like popping the big ones with .50 incendiary headshots, while sneaking, from a mile away and then switching to the modded sniper with AP and wiping the floor with them and their friends, as they run at me (the ones that survive the initial attack). Of course I have boosted AP, 100 guns and all the appropriate perks inclding better criticals and sniper. Oh... and I'm level 28. I don't give 'em a chance to get close.
Did i mention that I bought Boone a .50 cal and hand him pile of AP ammo for it when I see Deathclaws?

They last about as long as worms in a blender.

At medium levels? AP ammo and sneak... and never attack them in groups unless you are somewhere that they can't get to you.

At really low level? GTFO! (aka: run Forrest, RUN!)
