The Future of SkyrimTamriel

Personally I think Talos is gonna become a rallying figure to all human figures, and the next Empire is going to be centered in High Rock.

Remember, the Sun never sets on the British Empire, gentlemen.

Not to mention Altmer want to erase the mortal plane whereas the Dunmer are fine with the mortal plane.
Consider me converted. All hail the Aldmeri Dominion! Liberators of undeserving lower intelligent life forms from self-slavery and death, and all the evils of Lorkhan!

Mortality of sentient beings is THE GREATEST EVIL conceivable. I don't care what color your skin is or what foolishness you believe, it is WRONG!

My thoughts are:

The Dragonborn is the start of a "new line" of Dragonborn Emperors much like Tiber Septim. I think not long after the Events of Skyrim, The Dragonborn unites Skyrim and sides with Ulfric Stormcloak, and The Dragonborn, Ulfric, with the help of Greybeards and Paarthunax reform the empire and the Dragonborn heirs rule Tamreil and the empire survives.

We know Ulfric Stormcliak knows how to use the Thu'um...as he was taught by the Greybeards....others can be taught...The Dragonborn could have an ailliance with the Dragons(since in game you can decide to allow Paarthunax to live). Paarthunax becomes the new leader of the dragons and sides with the Dragonborn....The Dragonborn promises Paarthunax and the Dragon peaces with men in return for aid against the Thalmor and helping the Empire....This also goes along with Ulfric, The Dragonborn, and the Greybeards teaching "exceptional men" in the army how to use the "Power of the Voice"...if Ulfric can learn how to shout from the Greybeards so can others...

The Dragonborn with the help of Paarthunax, the Greybeard, and Ulfric(teaching some of their men the Thu'um), and the Dragons Paarthunax brings over to "The way of the Voice", and Odahving (The Dragon the Dragonborn can summon) crushes the Thalmor and brings them back under control of the empire.

The Empire is reunited under a new line of Dragonborn emperors.....Ulfric Stormcloak is named the new high king of skyrim....and is the Dragonborn's second in command....

The Dragonborn Emperor's died out when Martin Septum sacrified himself to become Akatosh's Avatar to do battle with Mehrunes Dagon and cast him back into Oblivion....for 200 years the Dragonborn line was dead.....it was by the mercy of Akatosh seeing Tamriel was lost without a Dragonborn Emperor decided to bless an individual with the blood of the Dragonborn(you) to restore Tamiel.....

Long story short, The empire is reunified under the Dragonborn not long after the events of Skyrim....and he will have help not only from Ulfric, but the Greybeards helped Tiber Septim Too, and they hint the Dragonborn is not bound by their rules, The Greybeards will help indirectly by teaching others like Ulfirc "The way of the voice" and Paarthunax will aide the Dragonborn in return for peace among men...as Paarthunax and his kin will be under the Protection of the Dragonborn and his/her heirs moving forward(a covenent simliar to the one Akatosh made with Allesia will be made with the Dragonborn)

All will be well until...well im sure something else will happen, it always does....perhaps the re-emergence of the Aylields...afterall the Amulet of Kings has been destroyed...maybe they find a way around Oblivion being shut to them now that the Amulet has been destroyed...Oblivion does hint that there could be Ayleids still alive...hidden somewhere....could be interesting....who knows :)

The empire will crumble and it will be everybody else vs. the Aldmeri Dominion. Epic battle insues, and the next champion will finish them off

Why on earth would the Dunmer support the Thalmor?

I'm sure that Hammerfell will ally themselves with The Stormcloaks (who I think will be canon to the civil war).
They'd both drive into High Rock and Cyrodiil, making both Independant parties & The Empire fight each other to a stand still.
Unrest in Elsweyr and Valenwood would hamper Thalmor aid in these matters, putting distrust between the empire and them once again.

Argonia would spread north into old redoran lands, creating a small militia filled rebellion from locals and Solstheim citizens alike, to the argonians.
Pyandoea's maormer I believe, will once again strike at Summerset Isles. Putting the Thalmor in a even more weaker position and spreading them thin.

The many provinces will be at war, that's for sure. Alliances and distrust will be made as quickly as ice turns into water in the mid day sun. ^_^
i like how you put that very prophetic

Well, I've hardly been annointed. On the outside, there isn't really much one can do.

Sure, you get by, but is it really helping? Does anything ever truly change?

Here is an off shoot idea not mentioned (mind grammar).

Skyrim manages to break free of the Empire under rule of Ulfric with aid of the Dragonborn shortly after the events of Skyrim.

Ulfric dies at the hands of a new assassins guild, most likely as a contract of the Aldmeri domminion, the Dragonborn becomes the new ruler.

The Dragonborn invades Cyrodell and Morrowind, later on Hammerfell and, Highrock join in alliance, this forms a new human Empire and a new phase in the war.

Argonia stays neutral.

Dark Elves flee Morrowind and resettle on Pyandonea, this due to various reasons

Dragonborn dies and becomes the 2nd Human to rise to godhood, he will be considered the 10th divine.

War rages on for another 200 years weakening both sides and is interrupted when a 3rd force starts attacking both weakened states from the west. Forces from Yokuda invade.

A new war between the nations errupt and lasts for another 50 years, this war ends with the help of a new hero (Elder scrolls 6?) and so the 4th era comes to an end.

Note: for those who dont know about the 2 pieces of land named by me....

For [censored]s sake, why do people want peace? It's boring for a fantasy world. The more conflicts, the better.

I'll bet for the end of The Empire (It's pretty much [censored] up as of now) and the Thalmor struggeling against different civil wars.

The games would be better if the world went completely into anarchy, and was more like Dungeon Siege 2 where the towns are almost independent.

Maybe someone can back me up on this, but it looks like the empire will collapse in the next 100 years. The Aldmeri have effectively isolated the empire and it's allies. The only thing I can think of that will actually save the empire is if they some how unite but they burned too many bridges for that to happen in my opinion or maybe there might be some outside help to save the empire, for instance, maybe the race of men that came to Tamriel all those years ago return and either help or start their own crusade against the Aldmeri.

The answer, is going to come from far right field, an answer no one would have expected... Expect for me, cause I expect, the totally unexpected.

First of all.
The Player in Skyrim is NOT The only dragonborn in Tamerial. And is it even confirmed, DRAGONS are only in skyrim atm? Seems to me... they existed across the world? Perhaps whats his name brought more back, and not just in Skyrim? (even though we only hear about those in skyrim... perhasp some 'leave' skyrim to terrorize some lizards? Or become there gods...)

Second; All these conflicts? They'll happen. The world will be ripped apart by civil wars, and every region, every racial tension, every culutural difference between any of the cultures/races will cause a war.

I can see Redrock vs Skyrim vs Empire vs Thalmar
And from behind come the Argonians
All the while, the Dark Elves are going to just be stomped on by everyone since they are now refugees...
Morag Tong will probably make an appearance with Avengence.

Third; and the most unexpected part of this idea.

The Dwemer will finally Return to Tamerial.
WHAT? HOW? THERE ALL DEAD STUPID!
Well, with the main-plot of Skyrim, Given the method in which The Dragon returns, How he got 'banished', and what we find that the Dwemer HAD, and built to USE it, opens up the possibility, that not ALL Dwemer were 'destroyed' due to the heart.

And the real question is this...

Who will they side with? Empire? Skyrim? Dunmer? Thalmor? No one?
I could see the Dunmer being used by the Dwemer however...

I considered the Dwemer return too but I don't see them helping anyone but themselves or at least have only one agenda even if it looks like they are helping.

either way, I agree with some kind of return from another race happening.
