Very humbling post, and a great read into what's important in life. Honestly, if I make it to 82 and have achieved even half of what you have (with regards to family especially), I be extremely proud of myself

Something I think about is tradition: what traditions do I have that came from my parents, and what traditions am I passing on or will my kids pick-up? Would you be willing to share your thoughts about "tradition"?
I think about the same things, and I'm 20 with no kids. Along with traditions (our family have a lot, and most of them I want to keep alive into the next generation of us), I think about principles as well. I was raised with principles (good ones, I think) and I see so many kids growing up now that haven't been. I think that lacking principles has a detrimental effect on who we are...and I'm keen to pass that onto my children, when I have them. Maybe it's just me, but I feel that a man without principles is just a shell of what he could be.
