And I keep on thinking of GoT while playing this game, and vice versa....

For example, I'm wandering up to Dawnstar to do a mission, and I come across bandits...except I in my head think of them as 'Wildings'.

Anyone else do this? I mean, GoT is as close as you'll get to a TV series about Skyrim...

Glad to know I'm not alone! Thank the seven! I've been tempted to roleplay Skyrim as a GoT character myself...though not all will work...for example you'd have Daenerys claiming to be mother of dragons while she got roasted by Alduin....

I've read the books too, just finished the 5th one yesterday actually. I just refer to the series as the Game of Thrones series so people know what I'm o about.

It might just be that I'm a huge fan of both, and they're both fantasy based, and have dragons, Civil War, etc. I know there's plenty differences, but I'd rather play Skyrim as a GoT experience than either of the Game of Thrones games around.

I always think the opening sequence looks like the in game map of cyrodiil, when I see winterfell I think of winterhold and then they have dragons in common too ... it is good to be a fan of both productions.

I love both, I do find myself thinking 'oo that looks like Skyrim' or 'oo that reminds me of Game of thrones'.

You say you couldn't care less about Game of Thrones, but you take the time to open the thread then post in it? BTW, it's far from boring.

Yeah, that's the right word. I like all the political stuff in GoT. Never played the Witcher though.

Ha, did Ned meet the same end as his Book/Tv Counterpart?

Bethesda openly cited GoT as a stylistic influence actually. Not a bad thing at all :)

I was shocked by Ned Stark's fate. For the longevity of the series, it makes sense though.

Now if only Bethesda could make a way for me to play as the midget/dwarf/half-ling/whatever you wanna call it. I like the premise of GoT, Skyrim, and Lord of the Rings. I WANT TO PLAY AS A SMALL FRY ! Make it happen.

Yes, Tyrion is what a dwarf is supposed to look like, not tall with pointy ears. If true dwarves ever were playable in the ES games, I'd make several characters of that short race. In rpgs where the option is available, I usually find myself playing as the short race(s).

Aye. The only nitpick I've ever had about GoT is that every time I read one of tyrions chapters I wind up REALLY wanting a glass of wine...

i thought the opposite, he was the closest thing to a main charcter don't see what they gained by cutting his head off

They are just following the book. Its hard to say who is the main character. I just see it as the Starks are good and the Lannisters are mostly bad.

Why not just play the actual GoT game? Probably against the rules to link to other games, so just google it.
