The Story Actually Being Extended

Best to keep the hard ending.

Agreed. They won't be continuing the main story because they said it would feel like what ever action you took wouldn't feel like it had hard consequences.

Granted, being able to play in the hugeness of the wasteland with more B.S. to tinker around with is a great concept, but I understand where they're coming from.

Guess that's why they gave us 100 different save slots, so we could do it all over again ;)

Yes. Obsidian and Bethesda are lying to us, it's all one big conspiracy :ahhh:

....no. Absolutely not. Developers don't lie about things like that.

It's not going to happen. The Way that New Vegas's story and ending are designed prevents a Broken Steel type DLC from happening.

I agree that it would only work with Ulysses and in a completely separate area. If that were the case, I'd hope that it would be a very large DLC (more like an expansion) and cost 20 dollars. Considering there is one less DLC for New Vegas than Fallout 3, it is a possibility.

the new vegas story isn't that great, and the game was lacking so much content, it needs to just end after the main quest, there's nothing to do on the map once you finish the quests, not like a bethesda game where its fun to keep doing stuff other than the quests.

Your definition of "great" and many others' definitions are divergent.

You're right about there not being much non-quest content, but considering how many quests there are, and how many options nearly all of those quests have, this isn't as much a problem as it would be otherwise.

Now, granted, I'd think there's a market for a dungeon pack which adds nothing but plausible dungeons and loots to make exploration more rewarding; the mod A World of Pain does this, and it has significantly improved my NV experience since sometimes I just want to rush in and machine gun something.

:ninja: many on this forum aren't bethesda fans, they're original fallout fans that like bashing bethesda, so i keep the groups seperated, bethesda fans like exploration and a plenty of enemies to fight, random events/encounters with lots of fantasy in their games, like 25 ft tall giants or giant robots..so the "many" people you are talking about, aren't bethesda fans, obsidian just isn't into open world games, their thing is more story, characters and dialogue and making a "plausible" or "believable" game world, i couldn't even care less about a game being plausible or believable, so i'm done with new vegas, it was an ok game, lets just let that stand for what it is, it deserves its 7.5 gamestop rating.
