Theory on the Dwemer

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 10:08 am

Obviously the last dwemer had a child with a cave bat, and thus became the falmer today... Blind, bloodthirsty cave dwelling creatures in elven figure.. mhm
Spoiler
Actually the falmer are the remaing of the Snow Elfs, that were turned in those creatures because of the Dwemer

Yeah indeed you "spoiled" it, cause I was just going along with the thread :( *making up your own fictional story about the dwemer*

The Dwenmer ALL traveled into the past, and first then realized that it's way cooler to travel to the future...

They disappeared during a battle with the Dunmer at Red Mountain and they were hitting the heart. I think that narrows down the answer to has something to do with the heart and they all vanished at once... so no rifts, oblivion gates, space ships, etc.

One thing I find strange... in Morrowind you could fight their ghosts. Were they the ghosts of the Dwemer that died and became ghosts before the rest of their race was destroyed, or are they the left overs of the great vanishing act.

And I've yet to finish it, but if anyone is interested their is a side quest in the College of Mages that delves in the disappearance of the dwarves.

Hmmmm cool. That supports the theory that their bodys energie(just like a daedra) was transfered into another plane.

Obviously they built a huge enchanted spacecraft and with the help of their patron god abandoned their home on Nirn to colonize Secunda. I'm selling this idea to Bethesda. I will make millions.

The Dwemer where atheist.

They were trying to create their own god.... I do not think that makes them Atheist. I don't think they believed in the Imperial cult gods, but if you have been in Dagoth's base under Red Mountain it is pretty clear they believed in and were trying to make a god.

haha the dwemer ruins do provoke more theorizing than the ayleid ruins of Oblivion. I was thinking a "return of the dwemer" would make a good plot line for a future TES.

I agree, the only thing more annoying than the dwemmer ruins is the way back from the College of Winterhold :-S

"Secondly, the last living Dwarf, http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Yagrum_Bagarn, said that when the Dwemer disappeared he was in the "Outer Realms", and thus did not disappear with them. The Outer Realms referred to that which was outside of Nirn", from you source, so what is to say other dwemer were not in the outer realms at the same time, was it an exclusive holiday location for yagrum? a whole little village of the buggera could have been on holidaying at the time and maybe never wanted to come back, as it would upset the lore hacks.
This wikia from usep is a lot more detailed than all the wiki sites on TES lore that I've seen to date. Note what this entry says about their dissappearance in the last paragraph of the History section:

what makes this the funniest forum topic for a while is that the OP was joking!!!!! and a number lore buffs came on eyes a blaze naysaying about a fictional lore that could so easily be overturned at the developers whim, and discouting anything that does not conform to their view of lore, though is not ruled out by the lore itself.....post anything you like and it can be countered and yes some of us know the lore of TES very well and don't limit our thinking against speculation which IMO is the principle reason for the remaining mystery of the dwemer (they generate interest) and you 'no they are gone lore-warriors' should maybe have some fun with it once in a while...you do realise it is a fictional reality after all or is it?

guess some of you guys should stop going to bed with the TES wiki, it stunts your imagination and sense of humour.....now did dwemer have a sense of humour.....does the lore forbade that with a swivel eyed fury?

Can't tell if stupid.......or stupid....

Besides, in Morrowind, you can find their ash piles as well as their ghosts. They found a way to transcend their physical form and venture into another plane of existence or daedric realm.

okay i'll spell it out...if you cannot tell its stupid then perhaps you are the stupid one....though its not stupid its silly and slightly funny, though don't get in a lore tizz about it challenging your perception of the game, the lore will still be their in the morning to give you a big re-assuring hug.

Oh, I understand what the problem is...you're a moron. The quote I used was a meme reference...It wasn't to be taken literally. Thus, if you don't understand something...either ask...or don't say anything at all.
