No idea... PS3 is still on 1.5. Sorry.

Thank you for answering. I'm sorry, I didn't know that the patch wasn't out for everyone yet. I literally downloaded it just last night and thought I was the last one to get it. :geek:

Nope it doesn't count , it's on console.
What doesn't count?

Perhaps...never tried that.
Can you respond please? What do you mean by "30) Don’t pick up named items (for example Joe’s T-Shirt)"

4) you can FUS (or any other attack shout) them and they fall as well ;)

another little trick is you can FUS pressure plate traps to activate them

also you can charge up master spells in battle while in ethereal form and take shortcuts off cliffs when ethereal with no damage or death

this is a good thread for beginners and tricks people may not know...i will add if i remember any not on your list

Regarding #20, does this work for the Jagged Crown if one were to put it on a mannequin?
no you can't put the jagged crown on a mannequin.
I've tried everything to keep that crown and the only way on console is to not turn it in and finish the quest

Another trick is if you're wearing an item that boosts magic, say the novice hood, you can take it off when you run out of magic and put it back on to quickly get that magic back (whatever the item adds)

Also, if I become a vampire, get Necromage, get perks that are strengthened by Necromage (for example, the Recovery perk for +25% magicka regeneration, with Necromage becomes +31%), can I keep the +6.25% bonus added to the perk if I cure vampirism? If not, will I regain the +25% bonus to Necromage-affected perks gained after getting Necromage if I cure and regain vampirism?

Are you sure getting radiant quest books will break the quest? I'm pretty sure I have before and still finished the quest. I know I have found things like Ring of Pure Mixtures before I got the quest and it worked fine.

An what do you mean don't pick up named items?

Yessir, quite. I've broken those stupid book quests more times, on more characters. Also named items like
Spoiler
Pantea's flute, or the drums, or "Amren's family sword etc...
they CAN ruin quests. They don't always, but it's better to wait for the quest.

Just tried sprinting with the torch...doesn't work.

It's been confirmed on 360 and PS3. Doesn't work on the comp though. Sorry man. Tap the sprint button, don't hold it down. Tap.

Also, if I become a vampire, get Necromage, get perks that are strengthened by Necromage (for example, the Recovery perk for +25% magicka regeneration, with Necromage becomes +31%), can I keep the +6.25% bonus added to the perk if I cure vampirism? Yes. And yes. We tested this today/yesterday, since it was written everywhere that you lose it. Turns out, you don't lose it at all. It's like the restoration glitch. You keep your crazy until you take the ring off (for example). You can't "untake" a perk, so the bonus stays. Just don't take any perks that are affected by necromage, between curing and re-infecting with vampirism. A full list is here: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1385179-perks-affected-by-necromage-as-a-vampire/

Hope I ddin't miss anyone (sorry Chemical).

Awesome thread, i knew some things but i didnt know everything. Didnt know that attacking ore veins worked with weapons; thought it was limited to attacking with pickaxes.

It is limited to pickaxes... did I imply that it wasn't?

*re-reads that part*

"You can “attack” an ore vein with a pickaxe. Each hit mines the ore. This is MUCH faster than watching the animation. Dual-wield (dagger or another pickaxe) to be even faster."

No, I think I was fairly clear. I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding, but only pickaxes work. The dagger increases the swing speed of the main hand weapon, the second pickaxe allows you to double swing.

If your a low level its good to know that Mammoths and Giants can't walk on rocks or in ponds so if you have to flee you know where to go until your health can regenerate..

The one about jara ree being good to power up the ebony blade reminded me of this

Spoiler
doing the quest destroy the dark brotherhood counts as 6 kills towards the ebony blade, as Astrid and the DB are counted as friendly

I"ll be adding a few more to this at some point either tonight/tomorrow. Is there a way to edit the topic title? Sorry... I'm a forum new player (the site I use doesn't even let you edit after more than an hour). This is a nice set up, but I'm not familiar with all I can do here yet.

I'm not sure but I think you can PM a mod to request a title change.

I actually just opened your thread again because I was going to print it out. But I will wait for your updates first. :teehee: Thanks again for your hard work on this thread. It's really helpful!!

5) Save. Punch a merchant. Reload. Their inventory (including cash) is reset now.

Didn't know that one. Might be quicker to do that than to actually run around from shop to shop to sell all the loot. Also great when looking for a specific missing enchanted item to disenchant and learn.
