I recently downloaded Daggerfall and it has a lot of great content. And i think Bethesda could easily make it free dlc. things such as Climbing walls, Breaking locks with your weapons, Being able to store things in a cart, Banishment from cities if your crimes are too serious. What things from past TES games do you want in Skyrim or future TES games?
Attributes. Rewarding and progressive character development. Spell making. Difficult enchanting. Climbing. Busting down doors. Player-owned ships. Levitation. An interesting plot. Spears would be nice too...
The further we stay away from Daggerfall, the better. A lot of the "Great Concepts" only worked there because all Daggerfall had was great ideas, and poor execution.
Dialogue boxes (Morrowind style) Attributes Classes Large, open cities Most of the spell effects that was removed Proper clues instead of quest markers etcetcetc
More or less what has been said above me but my main points are -Journal -Non-regenrating health (Call of scrolls anyone?) -RPG stuff back in (Abilities etc) -I want to be able to make spells X_X -UI back to old school style (Morrowind/Oblivion Style)
There are many other points... I think essentially make Daggerfall again, just better graphics! :3 But pull of the concept. Its ambitious but if it worked it would be amazing.
This could be a long list x) I dont want attributes back still.. But i want hand to hand back, spears back(both weapon and skill/perk tree) acrobatics, unarmored, throwing knifes/stars/darts. Flails, crossbows, and so on,every type of weapon that was in previous TES games.
I agree with lock-bashing - my fave mod of Oblivion was one that introduced it. I'd like to see a cure disease spell: if it exists I've never seen the book. And I'd like mutually-exclusive (or directly antagonistic) factions as per Morrowind. Although there are so few factions it would be hard to make it work properly.
Attributes Spellmaking Potion-making sets of different quality Different quality of lockpicks Acrobatics skill Athletics skill / speed differences Levitation Water walking More fast travel No fast travel with map Better interface Underwater combat More spells More armor customization (Left/right split isn't necessary, but at least split cuirass and greaves, come on...) Armor and weapons wear out Less leveled items and NPCs More named NPCs (Not 500 copies of "Bandit") Non-linear dungeons Dungeons without "escape to entrance" path at the end More factions Longer faction quests Less locked locations Less map markers / More hidden locations More quests with substance that aren't "OMG EPIC SCRIPTED EVENTS" Interesting dialogue/lore Main quest that isn't cheesy and illogical More creature types (Daedra...?) Unique creature types (Deer, sheep, horses, really?) Etc...

A flail would be awesome. One with barbs in it. Yeah.

Sounds like it's time for you to quit playing Skryim and go back to Morrowind.

That's what most of us are doing. Maybe we can hope for The Elder Scrolls to start getting better with each installment from now on, rather than at best sacrificing some content for more content elsewhere of questionable value - marriages, Dragons, and more. All of which are 'ugh' at the very best. But I wouldn't hold my breath.
I'd like some of the armor from previous games not in Skyrim. Skyrim has a decent amount of armor as it is, but things like Chainmail and Mithril could have boosted the number of light armors and given us a more metallic light armor selection.

Yep. But you spend time on the Skyrim message board and spent countless hours playing the actual game. And you'll go back to Morrowind for a while and tire of the graphics and technical limitations and at some point return to Skyrim and fall in love with it again until your urge to complain about one or two things grows into a dozen or more. Then, you'll return back to the Skyrim forums hoping to find the other malcontents who did the same thing you did so that you can all join in a wonderful chorus of perpetual cynicism.
Acrobatics, mini-game-less lockpicking (like in Morrowind, is there a mod for that already?), and put the magic back in magic. And include spell making while you're at it.
And how about some more monsters instead of animals?

Yes! Maybe we can properly execute that plan. Unlike Bethesda did with most of the mechanics in Skyrim. See what I did there?
