I wish I knew that I should save more often, especially with whirlwind spirit equipped on the throat of the world when I wanted to FUS RO DAH near the side of a cliff triumphantly into the air after defeating Alduin for the first time.

Slow time archery perk is a waste?
I'm with you. How's it a waste?

That weapons and armor never degraded (You can thank Fallout for that one). That you could figure out an ingredients effect by eating it. And that master difficulty and giants at lv 5 don't go well.

Well, indeed the giant are still a problem even on higher levels at master difficulty if you don't adopt the right technique

Wish I knew about the game killing bugs BEFORE l plopped my butt down for 350+ hours to then have to trash the game - and start over in fear it will happen again! But seriously, I love Skyrim, apart from the game killing bugs.

I wish I knew a little more about gaming mentality in general! I don't really game that much, and Skyrim just svcked me in big. I guess the perk system.... we all wasted a few!

That to wear pant's all I had to do was make male character's.
That Deadra heart's are an important smithing ingredient.
That it's a bad idea to give your follower a chain lighting staff.
That telling your dog follower to go home didn't mean he was going back to your house.

Just how shallow it is? It's regarded as an RPG but honestly, it's far from just that.

I wish I had disabled the Compass as soon as I started playing. The markers in the Compass ruined my first time playing experience.

I wish i had joined the dark brotherhood instead of damning myself to never be allowed to join, but i was so self rituous in the early days saving the innocent, when i eventually learned no cares a damn about me being all that lol

Another one that occured to me...

I wish I'd known that some of the quests are more twisty-turny than they appear, and just because I think I've finished a quest doesn't necessarily mean it's safe to read spoilers for that quest. After I'd completed a certain quest in Windhelm, I accidentally stumbled across some information on the wiki that I really wish I'd been able to discover in the game instead of knowing about it beforehand. After that experience I stopped reading anything related to quests in any way, in case there are others where there's more to the quest than I may have realized.

Wish I knew the game was terribly balanced and that your choices are largely meaningless.

Beth didn't do FONV, though... thank goodness, since IMHO FONV is horribly boring.

Thanks for pointing out the incredibly obvious.

While New Vegas may not have been as much fun to explore, it was far superior to FO3 in just about every other way. This is coming from someone who loved FO3, so I'm not what the auto censor calls a really devoted fan.

I wish I hadn't wasted so many perks on the Lockpicking skill tree.

Also, it would've been nice to know about the sprint button for the first 20 levels of my game. :stare:

By the way:
Thanks for pointing out the incredibly obvious.
It's not incredibly obvious if you haven't been following the series' development closely. A lot of people think NV was put together by Bethesda.

Shut up! It's easy to miss when you play on PC... no in-game hints will ever tell you about it and by default I believe it's mapped to something weird like "Alt."

Maybe for someone who's not been around the forums or Bethesda games for long, but someone who's been around here as long as Orichi has, does know...and that makes it incredibly obvious. :ermm:

Nothing. I like going into it totally cold and learning as I go. That's part of the fun with a new game. Take that away, make it all predictable, Blah!
