What exactly is keeping you busy? After about 60 hours i completed almost everything except for the computer generated quests which mean nothing

What mainlining coffee, fast travel everywhere, run everywhere, never explore much and just go from point a to b as fast as you can?

Sound like people who speed play this thing should realy play a FPS .. haha.

These boards are funny. To the OP, I feel the same as you. It all started for me with Morrowind. I can see myself playing this game for at least two years. Mods and expansion will do that. And i have to believe some of the posters are just trolling. To say you did everything in less than 70hrs is nothing but bull. I have almost 90hrs in and i have done nothing. I'm lvl 40 and haven't started pt.2 of the main quest. Either they are trolls or they don't know how to play an Elderscrolls game. Finishing a quest chain is nothing here. It about the exploring. If that bores you than play something else.

I did forget to add, that like the OFP I had the same, I havent played much RPG since I was small, and never on PC, or any elder scrolls, and I have indeed got the bug. Something I will play "normaly & not speed play" for a number of weeks and beyond with mods.

Well, most people didn't rush the game.

There is roleplaying, hidden non-journal quests in caves/dungeons, etc....

my only question is this:

who da funk goes from call of no need to play duty to

elder scrolls?

lol, just kiddin storm

lol yea. Well like I said clanmate was playing it and told me how great it was and I was skeptical but tried it anyway and was pleased.

What exactly is keeping you busy? After about 60 hours i completed almost everything except for the computer generated quests which mean nothing

Im not rushing through the game, im getting like 5-6 quests everytime I try to complete one. I talk to random people while im traveling around and a good amount of the time they give me quests. I dont mind the computer generated quests in the least.

If you think THIS is awesome, you should play an RPG!

I kid! But seriously, try out Morrowind or Oblivion if you like Skyrim.

I plan to if I can find time lol, not sure If I will if this game keeps me busy though but eventually yes.

Maybe RPGs like the TES games arent for you. I have just about 200 hours in on my first playthrough and have completed everything except the mages guild. A game like this it is the time spent between the quests that most RPG'ers find appealing. If you are just ripping through quest after quest as fast as you can they you aren't experiencing a game like this in its fullest.

I agree.
Except I don't play COD, and I have played Morrowind and Oblivion.
I personally find this to be the best TES yet.

Im 91 hours in and I barely done the main quest, I still have half the map to explore and countless quests... all that and im not even with the Thief guild nor the Dark Brotherhood !!!! This is clearly not the game for you because your jugging and playing it wrong

Im not sure why people keep saying this is not an RPG, yes we dont have the dialogue of Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter... but quests+exploration+skills is still the definition of an RPG for me

I made a account on this forum for one reason and only one reason, and thats to give my opinion on this amazing game.

When I was younger I was a big time D&D nerd, I would sit around a table with a group of guys playing. Since that time really there have been no games to match that experience most RPG games nowadays are like hack and slash games. Although I enjoy a little of that sometimes I just want to be able to spend time going around towns and actually playing my character. So for awhile now I have just been playing FPS like call of duty, actually one of my clanmates on COD was playing this game which is how I came to try it. I can honestly tell you it has totally and utterly made me addicted to it, I cant tell you how much I enjoy playing my thief.

I also heard there would be expansions for this game which is crazy since honestly the core game right now is keeping me sooo busy. This is by far the best game I have played in a long long time, the amount of content and the vastness of the world is crazy. I just want to thank the designers for putting soo much effort into this game and giving me a very enjoyable experience.
Yeah man nice one, it is an amazing game! (though from reading some of the comments in this forum you might wonder).

70 or so hours in and seem to be barely scraping the surface - hurrah!

There are quests made by the developers like previous games, however there are also radiant story quests. These are randomly generated by the game and so you never technically run out of quests.

Lies or you are mis informed. 450 hours here and I estimate I have only seen 1/2 the game.

It's your fault for using movetoqt.

Funny how that guy has derailed the thread into 9001 people correcting him.

You must have fast travelled and rushed things a WHOLE lot. I've played for 130 hours and still haven't gone to Riften or even touched Dark Brotherhood or Thieves' Guild. I'm like 50% through, at most.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it. I got that same feeling of awe and wonder when I first tried Morrowind back in the day. You really ought to give it and Oblivion a good college try ;) If you find time of course...

Hehe I love posts like this

It reminds me of when I first got into Elder Scrolls, with Morrowind back when I was younger.

this exactly, i remember it was the last day of school before summer holidays and i had a disagreement with my freinds so i took another route, i walked past the shop and decided to have a look, i saw morrowind and decided to buy it, i later thanked my freinds for falling out with me

Lol! I see what you did there.

I agree with OP: Skyrim surely is epic. I got hooked on Oblivion so much. I then tracked down a copy of Morrowind while I waited for Skyrim's release (didn't have enough time to get far into it but I'll def be going back to it... in like 10 years when I eventually run out of stuff to do in Skyrim!). Might even try out the pre-Morrowind TES games sometime down the track too if I get the chance.

- ~20 random quests including daedric quests related to Nightmare, Wonderland, and Hangover
Speaking of the Hangover quest (A Night To Remember) a funny thing happened to me:
(note: below also includes Forsworn Conspiracy spoilers)

Spoiler

At the time I got this quest I had recently become wanted in Markarth as part of the Forsworn Conspiracy, but had escaped Markarth without going to prison. I began the drinking game and passed out, but woke up in Markarth's Shrine of Talos instead, where there were three guards standing around me. They attemped to arrest me, but as part of the Forsworn Conspiracy.

At the time I thought it was all part of A Night To Remember, ie. You get drunk, allegedly commit a crime during a night of drunkenness and wake up to guards accusing you of doing it. Then I saw, and chose, the "it wasn't me, I've been framed!" dialogue option, still thinking it was all part of the ANtR quest. So I battled the guards and escaped, but didn't discover that it was really a total mix-up of the two quests by the game until much later on! It actually made the ANtR quest so much more interesting.

Most epic coincidence ever.

I too love this game. Like the OP I spend more time wandering from town to town. My quest log is full and I haven't completed any really. I just love seeing all the towns and talking to people.

Yeah, that's how I felt when I started playing Oblivion a couple years ago, then bought an Xbox just so I could play Morrowind. Now Skyrim. Glad you are enjoying it. I too am reminded of the old days playing AD&D with nothing but some dice and graph paper.

still loving it, sorry so late on replies but its hard to get to computer seeing as only one is upstairs in sons room and I try not to go in there because he is a teenager lol.

Anyway still loving it ive made countless characters and honestly this is one of the only RPGs I seriously dont mind restarting over and over. Of course the hidden chest makes it a little easier lol, My thief has been only character ive stuck with but now trying a mage and after getting to lvl 30 and totally screwing up perks I just restarted her. They really should add a way to wipe out all your perks and start over with them for people like me who get to lvl 30 and then change their minds on what they want to do with them.

But anyway Im loving the mage and I love the way they do the magic system on skyrim, I like how the perks are set up for magic.
