Is this a refference? Or just Coincedence

I know I am quite intelligent, and it is quite clear my complex arguments are too much for you to handle, so you label me a "troll" and use ad hominem arguments. You'd make an excellent politician.

Easy lads! Let's just get one thing straight: Fantasy is the most inbred genre of all. But isn't it great? Makes us who like it feel home everywhere!!

And by the way... Welcome all WoW'ers:D

Hmm... You have 7 posts and the ranking of "Layman", and he has almost 3,000 posts and the ranking of "Diviner". Who's the real troll here?

World of Warcraft is famous for inventing the image of "skeleton next to flag and other object." Clearly it is a reference.

Sorry that I just joined this forum, I wasnt just born. Seriously.

The reason I say its a reference is because before Cataclysm, there was only ONE way to get up there, And it had to done exactly right, Or you couldn't, There for, its kind of like a hidden thing. Damn...

nice joke. There are many references to other fantasy and there are lots of things in Skyrim that have been in other games before.

Much of Skyrim, and Morrowind, for that matter also come from real life ancient stuff.

mann fack u mw3 is the bestest game evar, with an original and immersive story line. thats why its goty, and skyrim isn't.
Also, I think that flag is there in Skyrim to signal that the chest is there.

It is not. Skyrim is 100% originality.

Hence why Nords are basically Vikings, and every Imperial is basically a Roman, and why big fire-breathing dragons roam the skies, and why there're vampires and werewolves, and these fish that are essentially piranhas called "slaughterfish". Yes... Skyrim is 100% original.

I agree, its a reference. Skyrim is actually WoW in disguise. Blizzard is testing their WoW replacement on us. The snow in Skyrim is a reference to WotLK, High Elves a reference to Blood Elves, Dark Elves a reference to Night Elves, and guards are a reference to Leeroy Jenkins.

I... uhh... no, in all likelihood it's not a reference.

It's a neat image, you know, the desolate corpse amid nothingness - the corpse of the bearer of the warbanner -- not a soldier, but the guy there for morale. A subtle yet strong view into the moroseness of war. It's as much of an allusion as the same cliche simile being used in multiple poems or the same archetypical, stereotyped villain-personality being used in different works of literature.

If was intended to be a reference, that's fine; with that said, there's too much room for it not to be one to say it is one without official input.

EDIT: Trimmed out some redundancy.

Irony, maybe...?

Bro, there are lots of references in Skyrim, but a single flag on snow (Skyrim is pretty much covered in snow) isn't a reference.

I just had to quote your thoughtful reply. Very well said and yes, that's the feeling I get when I pass by this sad, lonely soldier.

Your reply stands out in the sea of "umadbro" comments! *rolls eyes* ;) =p

No WoW did not invent flag next to skeleton thingy, I did.
Please stop feeding these threads... I would say more but it is not allowed to accuse others of trolling on this forum, so I will leave it at that.
