i wouldn't even call borderlands an RPG. where, beyond character selection, do you actually assume anyone's "role"? borderlands wasn't a real RPG just because it had tons of loot, and this game most certainly isn't. having the two compared is getting a bit old as well.

Definitely not an RPG. It has some RPG-light elements, but this game is an FPS at its core.
