This is the year for gaming

Most of those games are sequels, some of them almost indistinguishable from the previous game. It'll be a good year for gaming once the industry gets its creativity back, if ever.

That's kinda how it's been since the late 80s/early 90s, no? Sequel after sequel after sequel...

Most sequels now are just an extension of the storyline (Assassin's Creed), or the same game with minor improvements (every multiplayer FPS).

Maybe I'm just losing interest... in the PS2 era I would buy 5+ games a year, while this year I only bought 2.

I've said it before and I'll say it again,

Reviewers are gonna have to start redefining how they score a game. It seems that there are more and more "perfect" games coming out. Its bad enough that anything below a 7 is considered garbage nowadays, by the next gen of consoles there will be nothing but 9's-10's
