I`m probably gonna get a load of ribbing after this, but do I care? NO!

Have you actually ever held your breath in real life when swimming underwtaer in game?

I do. All the time. I think I started this with Morrowind. Maybe it was because I saw it as a good way to exercise my lungs for real swimming.

Most of the time it teaches me to watch for a route back before I start or to carry some water breathing potions (then I can breath).

Kind of a pain when your character drowns though.

I smoke.

Sometimes when i chop someone's head off in game, i go outside and chop someones head off

I do sometimes the longest I've lasted was 10 seconds.

ur kidding right??

You should do something about that... you should be able to go for at least 30 seconds without any real difficulty.

ESPECIALLY sitting down.

That could be a warning sign for your lungs.

There's a guy on these forums who plays on a treadmill-- when his character walks, he walks. When his character runs... you get the idea. So no, holding your breath isn't weird.

even in combat? Now that's 1 bad mofo if he can sprint on a treadmill while sprint-attacking in skyrim lmao

Not to mention when he uses the Whirlwind Sprint shout....

Regarding the OP, I don't do that when playing video games, but I do sometimes hold my breath when I'm watching a movie when a character goes underwater to see how realistic it is, and most of the time they're under wayyy too long.

I hold my breath when lining up an arrow in slo-mo. I've always done this when sniping in call of duty too.

I used to smoke, so if I tried to do this I would probably never have explored underwater areas in past games.

Now I do not smoke anymore, so I may give it a try again with Skyrim.

LOL. I`ve done that too. It`s true. Considering what they have to do as well they do stay underwater way longer than most ordinary people could.

I don't think I've ever held my breath when my character is underwater. Now I might start.

But I don't think it's weird. Unless of course you pass out if your character stays under water too long.

What I have noticed is my Pulse and Blood Pressure increase after some fights in this game. Really weird as this does not happen in any other game, even some of the zombie games with mobs don't have this effect on me.

I`m pretty sure my pulse increases when I`m on the tail end of holding my breath and my body starts thinking, "Hey! Why the hell are you suffocating yourself? Breath!"

And I`m thinking, `not.... until... I get... above ... water!`
