Thought this was a great Skyrim DLC Article

My own PoV is that new features without new quests are not terribly interesting. New land masses would be nice, but new quests on the existing landmass would be OK too. What I really want to see is improved writing with deeper quests and choices.

New land is always nice, but it would be quickly explored and then we'd be back to where we are now. But new skills, spells, features which add depth, etc., allow for more character variation and replayability, so I think those things should be prioritized.

Oh, cool. So we're still reposting the same tired old game jam crap every six hours. Wonderful.

Give the guy a break... It's a NEW article that's anolyzing how they might fit all the gamejam "crap" into Skyrim and have it make sense.

I would love to see Dragonbone weapons...hmpf..i can't understand why they didn't make them in the first place..Two handed sword made of a dragons jaw!...Dragonbone bow!
But my hopes are pretty low..we probably wont see any dragonbone weapons. :shakehead:
I would love to see a expension focusing on the shapeshifters, werewolves and werebears.Complete with a shapeshifter skill tree and questline...maybe a new faction for shapeshifters!
To be honest i have no idea what the DLC will be like.
It could be anything, from the stuff we saw in the game jam vid,to summerset isles kicking Thalmor butts. :toughninja:
Maybe we get to visit solstheim again?Who knows,i just hope it arrives soon!

Expand the social aspects I say, kids, marriage, farm, houses, so forth.
And more cool quests that is like the Colleage of Winterwoodihoo!

Won't happen, the world will feel smaller and it will be overpowered and redicilous. It belongs to the mods. Don't want that crap in-game!

I would love to see new areas and quests of course... But I would also like a slew of new features. Mainly I would like them to add depth to hunting, fishing, camping and survival...Skyrim is a harsh environment we should have to fight to stay alive! Make the food and potions necessary and make diseases more deadly. It would also make money more useful if we had to buy food. I would also like them to add depth to the family life, make all spouses possible followers and give them more to... ahem... do. :hubbahubba:

College of Winterhold? That was the worst quest line in the game by far in my opinion.

I agree..the story was totally uninteresting and short..

I tend to agree...as much fun as it would be to kill some bandits with your super, mega dragon mount.I dont see it fit well into the game right now.It would be fun for an hour or so.

Xbox exclusive DLC? Weak, very weak. Don't alienate PC users for the game.
You mean don't alienate PS3 users. Xbox users get exclusive DLC and extra features, PC gets hundreds of thousands of mods, and what do we get? The buggiest version of the game.

Are we still complaining about exclusive DLC and PS3 getting a bad deal... I figured we would be over this by now.

Along with the new quests and places, new weapons and armor. DRAGON WEAPONS. oh, and new houses.

I have a strong feeling they will be including the build your own house feature from the gamejam video... People have been asking for that addition since Morrowind. It would also make for a great way to spend some gold.

Yes, If I played a mage character I would have been extremely pissed. It started off good and seemed to have promise, ala learning alongside your fellow students and finding a hidden treachery within the guilds ranks... But it seems they rushed it and the story fell flat and short.

I personally don't want any new land... I want new FEATURES & lot of them... MORE the BETTER.
I want new land... I've seen just about every square inch of Skyrim since I don't fast-travel. I need something new.

Well,i want new features and a new land  but most of all more depth.

This.

Though I play on an XBox, I don't believe that any part of the game's community should be excluded. If there's DLC, then it needs to be available to all.

I kinda thought the same thing...Oh that could be a fun and interesting questline but i was wrong. And Ancano was a poorly writen type of character. He never says much and i dont know why he is even there...he is completly useless i never cared about what he said or why he is in the college of winterhold...and he is the main antagonist in the questline!

I think we need more alternatives resulting of the dialogue's choices the player make. Because all in all, we always end up to the same results... It feels too streamlined and so for the quests ending.
Same thing for the dungeons and caves/tombs , its a succession of rooms and path and there is only a one way to complete the level. I know there's a few area that feature multiples path possibilities but we need more of that.

That's the right attitude, but rest assured It is going to be. The DLC will be exclusive to Xbox for 30 days, then PC and PS3 users get it as well. This has been said over and over, so no need to worry.

Every TES game includes a fun (but challenging!) mini-game. It's called "code your own patch".

Do you think the DLC will send you to Solstheim and be focused around Werewolves along with quests to become more powerful and maybe open up that Lycanthropy Skill Tree?
