I had it happen to me toward the end of the MQ in a certain place you can't get to on foot. There was a puzzle that I put the right combination to and it wouldn't trigger. I had to go back to a previous save form before I entered the dungeon five or six times...and fight the same high level Draugr five of six times (I play as a stealth/archer/light armor character, so melee combat with a room full of Draugr can be tough). I was very close to throwing my XBox through my TV screen and then...it worked!

I was very happy as the next auto save would've taken me all the way back to Whiterun.

Glad it worked out for you.

This mentality is about as LCD as what you're implying. If you're not going to help, please go elsewhere. Having a door trigger not fire isn't unheard of in this game.

Oh, snap! You got me.
