The 50 cal. certainly packs a bigger punch though.
Actually, the .408 Chey Tac (aka intervention) IRL packs a larger punch and more penetration damage than the .50 calaber anti personel rounds of the barrett. It also has a better range. I believe it is currently the longest range sniper in use.
