I don't think it will be Elswyer or anything like a whole province. I mean I think we have to look at it in terms of Fallout DLC. Shivering Isles was the biggest, but yet it was pretty easy to discover everything in a short time-frame.

To be honest knowing Bethesda they would probably add some sort of horse and cart /boat ride system to enter another small section/island of a province. I'm going to lay my chips on a Skyrim spin on Solsteim. Take a ship
from Dawnstar and travel there for some sort of battle between some random factions. (Dawn-Guard?) Bah! We shall know soon enough.

I wait for feedback on everything (reviews) which is why I never bought Mothership Zeta and Operation Anchorage for Fallout 3.

I still predict a flame war towards Beth' from some ungreatful cretins, whatever the announcement is, whether it be a whole trailer, or a screenshot.
But hey, thats "fans" for you.
On a lighter note, Happy Birthday Morrowind! (they planned this -.-)

Indeed, ten years ago tomorrow Morrowind was released. Heres to another 10 years of me playing it!

:cake:

And I think the same, I believe they planned it to line up with Morrowind's tenth. :D

Looking forward to this. What I am not looking forward to all the PC and PS3 players complaining about the time exclusives.

Yea, so many people have complained about it when Bethesda told them months ago it was timed exclusive.

Poor bethesda

I remember a storm in the Skyrim thread when Bethesda announced the DLC being timed exclusive.

Well, it's only 30 days. We don't have to wait that long.

Think about it this way. 30 day exclusive is an advantage to pc and ps3 players.

They will know what bugs they are gettin into by then :P

Also I hope the DLC is not another frickin' snow world (brrrr). May the road lead us to warm sands!
Solstheim is pretty chilly, but there are some snowless areas as well if I recall correctly.

Its rather bitter sweet for us Xbox users. We've been bullied by the rich PC kids for ages, for not having mods or texture packs.
Its kinda getting our own back.

Crap, forgot it was time exclusive :( Oh well, 30 days aint much!

To be honest I bet it is possible to extract it from the Xbox version and play it on PC (not talking about stealing by the way mods). I'm just saying I bet there are tools for that. The thing I do know is that .dds textures on Xbox are usually in .ddx format. That would probably be the only difference. I think this 30 day thing is silly. Also the Kinect voice thing could be done on a microphone, but they got paid off by MS obviously.

I know I remember as I have the GOTY version of it. Never got into Morrowind much though. The combat totally killed it for me. I found it hard reading all the text too and also getting lost, but I don't mind reading and getting lost.

If it goes to Solsteim though at least Bethesda can re-use a load of assets from default Skyrim. They like re-using their assets - it saves them a lot of work... Also I suppose they can put more time into the story.

I always thought the DLC would be in Elswyer or Blackmarsh because...

they seem to be making the games to pander to the casual gamer, to make money, i dont think a game mainly populated by 'cat people' or 'lizards' would sell that well (at least to casual gamers) so because of that they would release them areas as DLC.

So my prediction is that the DLC will be in the Orc lands, (dont know the name), Elswyer or Blackmarsh, and the next full game will be in another one of the 'human' lands, Breton or Redguard and at a push it might be set in the Highelf terrirtories or Wood Elf lands.

(Damn i need to learn some geography)

My thoughts exactly :)
And why it would make for a relatively quick to release, 1st DLC.

You'd be surprised. As long as they can still play as a human and there are some human NPCs walking around. It might prove even more popular than a human province because of the idea of exploring an alien land rather than a boring Earth clone.

PC users get mods and better graphics, Xbox gets kinect shouts and early DLC. We ps3 users get nothing. :(

But back on the DLC topic: Maybe if the assumed return of the Snow Elves adds them in as a playable race for future games (Like a few people are speculating.) We might get a new beast race too! :D (Because, y'know... 4 elves, 4 humans, 2 beasts. Somthing just doesn't add up. :/)

1. Pleases Morrowind fans.
2. These fans won't care that it is the same as it's frickin' Morrowind!
3. People who haven't been to Solsteim before get to check it out.

The only downside might be it's too similar to Skyrim. With enough new quests though and
a change of direction it could be good. It does make sense though. They will prbably go half
new assets and half reused as usual.

Now sit back and let our predictions blow us away as we find out we are not even close.

If we are though... :bunny:
