Updates for Brink patch

So i assume this was posted cause they dont know [censored] about their own game and dont even have fixes in the pipe.

Fix your [censored] game and dont try to give your costumers some silly workarounds to get it "somehow" working.


Jesus,this is ridiculous.

Your game is the worst piece of softwaregarbage in the last 10 years.....easily!

Unplayable MP on the PS3, atrocious AI (standing still, not going for objectives, the list goes on), graphics issues with the frequent delay of loading of layers. The game is broken. The fact that Beth and SD are offering us new DLC when they released a broken game is ridiculous.

Bethesda doesn't usually talk about deadlines on patches. They do it so they don;t miss deadlines and get people more pissed off.

Deadline or not they need to publicly address the many faults of the game. The lag fix patch did not work on the PS3 as MP is still unplayable with the majority of public games riddled with major latency issues. We need to know if this game will at least become playable in the foreseeable future otherwise people will drop this game.

I genuinely believe someone should fire up a class action suit in this matter.

Although I don't develop games I do develop business applications. You don't release something in this state.

Not to mention some folks are going to lose their jobs on this this, I'm guessing. Don't wish that on anyone but someone really missed the target here.

Regardless, I tire of the "we'll give you DLC" as compensation. What about the kid that saves his money and decides between one of two games only to find out it doesn't work.

Game developers are insulated because games can't be returned. I can guarantee you that this is a prime example why someone needs to stand up and put a stop to this garbage.

Have no agenda other than this just isn't right. I assure you if a collective would stand up and fight they'd win and put a stop to this sort of thing in the future by any developer.

Until then I guess we just keep doing what we're told. This is all a matter of principal for me. For many they will just buy something else and move on. "Oh well it's just 50 bucks".

That is exactly what they want us to do and say. We are just like the Borg....fight people!!!!

I'd just like to say that I am extremely disappointed with the xbox lag issue, the game is completely unplayable for me. From the statement issued today on this site, it sounds like Bethesda does not see a need to release more patches any time soon; avoid playing with those whose connections are red, etc. This is an absolute farce. I paid full price for this game and a week later it is still unplayable and those friends of mine who also bought it are already trading and selling it. Not only have I lost faith in both Splash Damage and Bethesda as games providers but I will never again buy a game on pre-order or on the first day of release. Releasing games in this unplayable condition is not only bad for gamers, it is also bad the companies involved and more importantly for the industry as a whole. Both Splash Damage and Bethesda should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. What could have been a great game has been ruined by greediness to get it to market before it was ready. Well, you got my money this time but it won't happen again. Adios Muchachos.

Hey guys,

I know many of you are frustrated with performance and lag issues in the 360 version, but there's no need to come on here and intimate that SD has denied that there's any problem or that they are "demanding proof" from the players. I know there's a dedicated contingent of you that just want to find reasons to be angry on this forum, but it's not fair to people who lurk here to act as if SD is just denying that there's a problem. From what I gather, they're very much aware of the issues.

We don't WANT to be angry, we're angry because we wanted a playable game. I WANT this game to work so I can enjoy it more, and I hope it's fixed soon. Why in the world would I want to come post on an internet forum just to be angry? Don't be ridiculous. There's a group of people like you that WANT to pretend everything is ok with this game. It's not.
And as someone else mentioned, SD was asking for proof on their forum. I'm not sure what you have gathered to know that they're very much aware of the issues, but they asked for proof and said nothing in response.

Indeed, it's good stuff!
Just what I was hoping for. I don't expect an immediate fix for all of these problems, but this is what we've all been waiting for, some information on the happenings with regards to Brink.
