Utter Disgrace

I'm in total agreement with the OP here.

As for the game fixing patch that should have never been required, I was wondering if anyone else noticed that on the 5th November Gstaff claimed that they "are currently running final testing and certification....", yet on the 19th of November the update to the original post says "we're working on the final touches....blah blah blah, we already have your money, don't hold your breath".

Now maybe i've misunderstood, but if the game fixing patch everyone is waiting on was being certified on the 5th by Microsoft how can the devs possibly be "working on the final touches" on the 19th?

Looking at the state of the game..it's not unlikely that the patch failed certification.. I mean the current quality doesn't provoke much confidence in their programming skills with me.

Maybe its just me but, I would expect this game to be allot more refined, since the apparent lack of innovation on this new version that's not to say that this game isn't fun, but its also not like they had to build this game from scratch seeing as it is just a revamped Fallout3 with more inviso-walls.

At the very least, it would be nice if Bethesda issued a warning to all players online on the XBox or PS3, or those that have registered through their PCs. The warning would state that it has come to their attention that there is a potential bug that can corrupt saves so, please, continuously create saves and always be sure to have a working one for every few hours of gameplay- oh, and we apologize for this inconvenience. To my knowledge, they've done nothing to warn others- and here we are.

It doesn't fix the problem, but, man- how many of us would such a warning have saved? I only played in 3-4 hour sessions, but I always knew that my continuing save- the one I started with- wasn't corrupt, so I'd create new saves while playing, but NEVER overwrite that save until I've started again from another save point(i.e. if my character dies and it reloads from an autosave).

To all the people waiting on a patch,

prepare to be disapointed.

In time beth may release a patch to fix most minor glitches and quest issues but
for those experiencing gamebreaking freezing, eternal loading etc.I dont think these problems
can be fixed.

just have a look on the FO3 dlc boards. these issues are widely publicised there and there has
still to this day been no patch or even recognition by beth of the problems.

I was a victim of the FO3 dlc on PS3 with severe lagging and freezing issues and waited patiently for months on a patch.
Im still waiting. to this day the game remains unplayable for me.

on a happier note, have been playing NV on pc, at 100+ hours now lots of minor issues but no gamebreakers yet.

I guess the best thing we should do is try to return the game. You can always re-purchase if there ever is a patch, if not at least you are not out your money.
