Vampire Lord Weaknesses

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:54 pm

Doe's anyone know if sunlight harms you while in Vampire Lord form only? Also doe's the Volkihar bloodline of vampirism behave the same way as the useless vanilla Skyrim Vampires? You know 4 annoying stages with pointless powers. I really hope your weaknesses are only active while in Vampire Lord form just like the werewolves.

I can't believe nobody thought of asking those questions when Dawnguard was shown at E3!

Well Mike, fourth stage vampirism attacks is no more. Now we can run around with flashy yellow eyes and sharp fangs and no one will do anything! Because it is so much easier to play it! And yay easy!

As for Vampire Lords, I don't know if there will be any weaknesses. I am hoping for some!

Doubt you're gonna get any info on this until June 26th, when Dawnguard releases. There's been practically no leaked info whatsoever coming from the Beta players.

Is that confirmed for ALL vampires, or just if you're in the Vampire Lord camp? Then again, it seems rather pointless for Vampire Lords to even have stages to begin with other than transformed and not transformed.

It was confirmed that "regular" vampires no longer are attacked at stage 4.

Which does make sence if you block the sun (so im thinking they still get attacked but when you block the sun no more)

You can become a vampire limitless amount of times even if you cure you can go out there and catch the "disease" again

That's disappointing. I thought the whole point of having various kinds of vampires was to have them feel different, and to have restrictions because you're in a society that fears and hates vampires.

Fix'd.

How would it make sense? As if the sun has to do with anything with people not attacking you. Betheda easily removed it because people were always complaining that the game was too hard when they got attacked constantly because they forgot to feed.

I'd guess that the vampire lord's weaknesses are only active in that form (silver, sunlight and fire). Also if you look at the perk Unearthly Will it states blood magic and NIGHT Powers cost 33% less. I suspect that a lot of your powers can only be used at night time or else are more powerful then, which would be fair enough and just like in the Dracula movie. I hope this is how the Volkihar vampirism works because it would be balanced and awesome!

Yes. Very disappointing. I loved being chased out of a village when I was caught. I don't understand why Bethesda would remove it when they added two new means to feed without even entering a city or a town.

Really? I was always under the impression that when you were cured, that was it, you were immune.

That is pretty dumb.... They should try playing as a vampire in Morrowind.

*I wrote a long rant about how the past games did Vampirism better and then complained about everything being easier but I decided to summarize it in this sentance.

Because vampires would become a more normal thing and also we don't know yet that vampires are a definate evil after the sun being block they might go hey ho I quess you vampires arent half bad. (also if your a high stage vamp that means you havent drinked blood which shows that you a no harm obvs...)

But unless you turn everyone in Riverwood into vampires, they are most certainly going to attack the vampires if they come into their homes.

How would everyone becoming pals with vampires because they blocked out the sun make sense?

No im saying there might be a reason like oh noes the vampires have blocked the sun there to strong we should just let them walk past we can't possibly take them. ALSO every one will be pale as the sun is black (--- may be wrong there. My black woman gets commented on how pale she looks and I find it to be rather silly. You can have nice vampires.

Yeah, that was a big difficulty. Vampires couldn't even walk in the sun without ever being scorched. There wasn't any stages and everyone hated the player. The main quest was an even greater hassle to be completed. They should be grateful vampirism was not like in Morrowind.

Even vampirism are getting dumbed down.

What is this? I don't even...

People would still dislike vampires, because from their point of view, vampires are evil and if the sun is blocked, they would be even angrier. No one in the Elder Scrolls like vampires too much, save for vampires themselves or the Dark Brotherhood.

There are no true "friendly vampires", sorry to say. Even Janus Hassildor fed on people.

What is your definition of "nice" vampire?

Just a random, unrelated question not to be taken seriously or as an offense. How old are you?

Well there is because a charity working blood donating samaritan that has never done anything bad in his life could be infected by the disease and become a vampire.

I have to ask the same question.
Also, if the sun is truly blocked out (its just a giant hole into Oblivion in TES) wouldn't that cause a severe drop in your ability to generate mana? Also would kind of make it hard for humans to grow food, which means their numbers might drop... meaning you would have a harder time finding food (humans)
I think the 'blocking' of the sun might be more figurative than literal. They just said they wanted to end the tyranny of the sun, so they might find a way to develop a tolerance to its exposure.

So when he becomes hungry, what happens then? There may not be any donors willing to give away blood as he did.
