Vampires and Werewolves should be equal

I love vampires but not in Skyrim. They need to have increased speed, strength, agility, etc. Too few bonuses and too many negatives to really enjoy being a vampire for me.

I think it's a shame if they remove the stage four disadvantages. That was one of the things that made vampirism feel more present, alive.
When it came to my character that were a werewolf I mostly forgot about him beeing that.
That was one of the main reason why I like being a vampire more than a werewolf.

With the addition of the Werewolf perk tree they may not end up becoming so useless beyond the early stages of the game. Assuming the damage perk goes to 100% increase then they will be hitting for 140 damage with quite a fast attack rate. Possibly even outputting more DPS than high end smithed weapons. They will still be much more vulnerable though due to having 0 base armor.

Vampire Lords have a lot of utility and it's a free toggle on/off so Werewolves should be somewhat stronger in combat.

I'm still deciding whether I'll opt for Vampire Lord or Werewolf in Dawnguard. At the moment I'm leaning more towards Vampire Lord because I feel that even with the Werewolf perk tree they will still be a downgrade button past early game.

While I agree that both races need an overhaul, I don't think werewolves should be given the ability to turn it off and on at will. Werewolves aren't like vampires. They have different weaknesses and shouldn't be able to change at will just because the vampires will be able to. I'm sure both creatures will be equally as threatening when both their perk trees are added to the game.

Spoiler
Hircine's ring allows you to change as many times as you want, and waiting 1 hour changes you back to human, and that should be enough.

wiki is wrong, i get attacked by wolves in both normal and beast form. also good luck trying to fight a giant in beast form, you have no armor and at higher difficulty and level you will get kilked with 1 club swing.

Giants are actually pretty easy in Werewolf Form. Just knock them on their ass and tear them apart. The Mammoths however, are a much bigger pain in the ass, since you can't ragdoll them and when they swing their head and tusks side to side, it can hit you even if you're to the side of their body. The Sprinting Power Attack of the Werewolf is just horrendously powerful though, if it doesn't bug out and cease to go off that is.

High level Dragons, like Ancient Dragons, are just plain suicide in Beast Form. They can do 300 Damage a hit on Adept, and 600 on Master, while the Werewolf has no Armor Rating... Not even my Lvl 68 Nord Warrior who has 650 Health/420 Stamina in Beast Form can take them, when he can quite easily beat them in Human Form.

Honestly I have enjoyed playing a vampire a lot more than a werewolf, and felt that vampires are insanely powerful. If you play using Illusion, and Sneak you gain massive bonus' to both those skills.

This. I can remain Invisible indefinitely thanks to my Illusion. Heck, most of the time I don't even need it; I can hop around using my Sneak 100 right in people's faces.

Indefinitely? How? Necromage/Restoration loop?

Werewolves only get disease immunity, vamps get disease and poison. Werewolves can transform only once per day for a short time and cant transform back at will, vamp lords will be able to transform back and forth at will and stay transformed as long as they want. Also werewolves arent that strong and do get attacked by wolves and werewolves so i dont know what you're talking about
Get the ring of Hircine.

He likely just used enchantments to do so.

how does the necromage perk help U?
Hes talking about it affecting vampire characters and how it improves their restoration and other magic better since their undead.

Not only that, but combined with Atronach Stone and Perk you can become completely immune to magic, negating the weakness to fire entirely.

Werewolves have to take time to change (most of the time I died before I could even transform), and can not block while transformed.

That's actually a pretty good strategy I'll have to try that sometime, i read somewhere that if your a breton and get the lord stone with the agent of Mara bonus then it's possible for a Breton to passively have maximum Magic Resistance, while this would leave any other race 15% short it would be helpful if the character is a vampire also.
