Vampirism in Elder Scrolls is completely stupid. Seriously.

How could I forget, that sword kicks ass.

IBut this brings up an interesting thing for me, I love Morrowind so much that I'm seriously considering stopping playing Skyrim so that I can go back play a part of Morrowind that never interested me, just so that I can participate in an internet discussion.

God I love Morrowind.

I'm actually considering playing Morrowind anew simply because there are so many fun aspects to the gameplay that just isn't there in the later games.

This makes even less sense than the current implementation of vampirism. Not feeding effectively eliminates the curse.

Read it again. Not feeding makes it just a curse, you have regen penalties and can't eat food and the only powers you have are those necessary to help you feed (illusion and drain). Okay, maybe you should lose the illusion bonus too. Basically, if you don't eat, you become weak, like a human. If you act like a vampire and feed, you gain great power but must also suffer the weaknesses.

Bethesda clearly wanted to move away from the "eat as often as you can" gameplay style of the vampires, but they went too far, turning it into "eat as little as you can". My solution solves the problem, making it "eat when you want power but you don't need to spend your entire game hunting."

I think you're placing too much worth on the discussion if you're willing to do that. Morrowind did some things quite well in its own way and its own time certainly. Its kind of like a classic British sports car though. You really have to want to enjoy going from driving a modern mass production model like the BMW M3 one day to driving a 1967 Triumph Spitfire the next day and not just see a poorly wired, poorly handling oddly shaped thing that was probably built in someone's garage.

Not at all, this discussion is simply what put the thought into my head to play Morrowind, Morrowind did the rest.

This discussion is really just a convenient excuse and a little inspiration.

Vampires don't exist in the real world, haha. So there really is no right or wrong. :P
